Toyota City: symbol of Japan’s auto rise

I just move around, if there's an argument with mom I go to my dad, if there is an argument with dad I go to my mom, I wonder if I keep this up how quickly will my parents divorce each other?.... But lets not think about that.

Japan does but don't count out Germans, Japan's automotive industry went through an entire revolution during the 1980s to improve vehicle quality and rate of production which started competing with it's Western counterparts, this is a recent example that Toyota built vehicles like Mark X which gave technologies that even BMW or Mercedes didn't have.

Right bro but no western counterparts, only German can match Japan in auto. Toyota is nice, all-rounded, good for daily driving (despite they built some cool stuff like Mark X you mentioned) but I prefer Civic Si CRX, Skyline GTR, more passion in there, purposely built for a meaning!

hahaha, you're good ! Yes its by Gangnam ! I've not visited or explored by Gang Buk district , i hear there's lots of clubs there eh? ;)

Yeah especially Myeong Dong, it's a sacred place for trance fans! Not to mention the fashion shops, cafe, you can hang out all day. I prefer its coziness, the feel is better than apparently glamorous Gangnam. For the same reason I prefere Shinzuku than Roppongi, Wanchai than Central ...

Japan is the king of automotive industry, but it wasn't always like this it used to face competition from Ford and Chevrolet and Cadillac till 1980s then after that Japan started improvisation, but honestly I don't like Japanese sports cars apart from that NSX and Supra and the 370z, at Devil's point in Karachi there was a race between a Supra and a Skyline and well the Supra won. But I don't get it @Nihonjin1051 every time Japan makes a good car (Supra, Mark X, 350z etc..) why do they close their exports to Pakistan?. :pissed:

I don't now, that's a good question for our auto execs ! They need to stop this unfair policy, no doubt.

:) :)

Japan auto markers always reserve the best, right-hand-steered, for domestic markets. It's like a culture, Koreans too, kind of special I think. That's why racing fans in LHD market like China have to play these babies in racing circuits only, can't take to the street.

@Nihonjin1051 calm down on the other thread bro, I tried to play down the tension for everyone, help me out.

Will do bro, its just that being attacked by many of your more radical countrymen, i'm forced to defend Japan. Apologies if i got hot headed there. I can only take so much when they keep on hurling insults upon insults.

Again, thanks for the kind reminder.

I know, the CEO of Indus motors is a friend of my dad, he said that importing cars has a catastrophic affect on the local industry... But the problem is that the Toyotas produced locally in Pakistan have a slow production rate and customers also have a very little choice in car selection, but it must be because of the pre-ordered vehicles as they bog down the production rates. But still have you heard of the Big Three in Pakistan's automotive industry? Honda, Toyota and Suzuki well what Suzuki has done is that they have kept the car in the same shape since the 90s ( just look at all the pictures of Suzuki Mehran from 1990 till 2012) and when imported cars hit the market, Suzuki refused to service those vehicles so everyone had to buy that horrid vehicle. And the only thing changed in Suzuki Mehran is it's price, and like I said at the time Suzuki was producing Alto which's production was closed because it was being sold at a loss and was dominating Suzuki's car market.....:(. But fortunately Honda is still improving and keeping it's quality I mean just look at it:

And btw you should make more threads about Japanese automotive industry, keep up the good work. :enjoy:
