I want to give this suggestion to the ECP officials in context with on going electoral reforms in the country. It can be applied anywhere in the world so putting it here.

Touch screen cell phones have the feature of thumb impression verification. Attach it to the online voters list and you can cast your vote through your cell phones, after entering CNIC number and thumb impression. There's need of only a website for this purpose.

Its simple, fast and economical way. What you people say.

Its Risky because because of that NADRA Database would have to be Accessible to all Cell Phone users which present a danger of get Breached by unwanted elements.

In this Period I dont think such an important Database of a country should be available to Cellphone users so better develop Electoral Voting system in Polling Both then this one.

NADRA's database is already on the net. You just need a good shield. For example tax returns are filed online individually yet no one is able to see the income or sales fed by anyone else.

My suggestion is not to see the info even one's own. You can just see the candidates in your constituency and vote for one of them. Minimum and to the point interaction.

I dont think Username and Password thing can work on ECP because there are Huge number of people who doesnt even know how to use it.

First thing is to educate people n v hv already 35% of literacy in the country. It makes the deployement of such technology more difficult in feasible form

As we're focusing smart phone users so obviously they're smart to do it. And thanks for the idea of password. We can mail them password.

Our three step login security is complete. CNIC number, thumb impression and pass word.
