TOP TEN DIRTIEST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD...REALLY???

GUYS...please forget about where India or Pakistan is on the list...the real issue is that both are on the list alongwith Iran Afghanistan etc which makes the whole region to be the MOST POLLUTED REGION OF THE WORLD...

Why are you so concerned? Our country is very filthy.

Excuse Me....Because i live here, as u have US flag on ur profile, it gives me the leverage to presume that u are a Pakistani who lives in the US, if i go by this notion then i should question ur concern coz u don't belong here whereas i do, my family and other tens of millions of Pakistani families live here, so it is my concern and it is our concern...if u have valuable suggestion or input u r more then welcomed to reply...

We should try to resolve these issues. Before some other reports pop up

The filth here was even greater. Now things are slowly getting better. Seeing more garbage bins and public toilets.

Will take at least a generation to fix though.

I was born in Pakistan and lived the majority of my life in Pakistan. Pakistan has always been a dirty country, so I am curious as to why you are surprised. We lack infrastructure, and even our habits as a people are terrible. We throw things on the street, when we eat out, we drop bones right beside our tables, we burn trash in our galis.

And I don't care what these Indians say. Their nation is way dirtier than ours, but If they want to defend their filth then we should accept it.

However, we should not try to hide our faults, If we truly want to improve. How many times have you seen at the meat market the skins of bakra and feathers of a chicken just dropped on the side of the road after butchering? They even leave the organs right there. Those are the same streets our children walk to go to school. We treat our neighborhoods like trash, but clean our houses and cars/motorcycles like they are holy.

If you think I am wrong, then I won't post in this thread anymore.

I am just saying, even though we don't have people taking shits on the side of the road like India, we as a people have a very regressive approach to cleanliness of our communities.

We take care of our gardens and properties as If they were gold, but when you take one step outside onto the street, we don't care If it looks like a trash dump.

So tell me Niazi saab, am I wrong?

Come to Multan Bahawalpur. You need to move to an area with dry climate If you suffer from allergies. I also suffer from severe allergies.

:o::o: jairam ramesh is more credible source than WHO???? :hitwall::hitwall:

Then Rajesh Kalra is the Chief Editor of Times who says

"I have travelled the world and have no hesitation in claiming that we are the dirtiest people on planet. I had always been told that Pakistan is very dirty, but there too I was proven wrong when I visited Lahore a few years ago and realised that not only was it cleaner than even the most pampered city in India, Delhi, it showed more discipline and was easily far more organised than the best we have. And please don’t launch into we are a democracy and they are an apology for a democracy argument here. I am not discussing that. I am merely referring to the fact that Lahore, Pakistan was cleaner than the best we have in India"

Do we need the Chinese to tell us we are dirty? - ET Blogs

* This is saying something as we know Pakistan is not exactly clean either. As I always say I am not bothered about F-16s, the latest subs instead can we please fix the damned sewerage system. Our forefathers in Harrapa invented sanitation.

Every bit of what you said is right about "the Pakistan of late 90s"...people are way too educated in terms of etiquettes (if not in terms of literacy), Media has done alot to educate people in the rural areas as well, people are way too mature in comparison to how they were prior to media revolution in pakistan, having brought bad things, the media brought good things as well and people are changing themselves and their neighbourhood as well, i have seen people behaving much more responsibly then they use to 15 years ago, i have seen people in backward cities and towns teaching their kids not to put litter on the streets, Punjab Govt. in particular have provided Garbage bins and have been more punctual in removing garbage piles to the appropriate garbage dumps away from the city, infact they have signed agreements with turkish firms to produce electricity from this garbage, horticulture has been promoted like never before...yet the WHO list suggests that we need to do more and i think these type of issues are where we shouldn't get angry if the world asks us to "DO MORE" coz its ultimately going to benefit us and our children.

Right? So when did Pakistan become the most "populated country" in the world. Did India, China, USA, Indonesia et al perish in some nuclear armagedon? With such blaring distortion of facts we are supposed to take this serious? This is rubbish article with some Indian behind it. Increasingly cyberspace is being filled with Indian sourced rubbish masking as "reports".

You want dirt? Go no further than Ganga on the Varanasi and you will find our what dirt means. Just google it. This is where mother earth pukes in disgust.

Ant we are back to square one....another conspiracy, this time an Indian one.

China did not even make it to the list??
