Ashiq Ullah Mehsud was killed in a clash in the Hurman village near Mir Ali town in north Waziristan.
A top militant commander of the Pakistani Taliban was killed today in a clash between rival factions of the group in the restive tribal area in northwest of the country.

According to reports, Ashiq Ullah Mehsud was killed in a clash in the Hurman village near Mir Ali town in north Waziristan Agency.

He was also a trainer of suicide bombers of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Mehsud has been attacked and killed due to internal disputes in Taliban groups actively working in Pakistan, according to TTP sources.

The incident is believed to be the result of rivalry between the Shehryar Mehsud and Khan Said Sajna groups. The latter also parted ways with the central TTP group.

He was linked with the Taliban group, earlier led by slain TTP commander Hakimullah Mehsud.

good news - let them kill each other, they deserve this end.

The 18th century’s great Punjabi Sufi and poet Bulleh Shah wrote, “Do not be happy over an enemy's death…” So true, there is no joy in any death but one should not overlook that violence begets violence. People like Ashiqullah Mehsud are plain enemy of humanity. They brain-wash kids with their lies and turn them in human bombs to kill and destroy many more lives. I am sure Ashiqullah’s death will allow a few mothers to sleep a little better, knowing that another child may be spared a violent death. The innocent people of the region, whose only concern is to put two honest meals in front of their families, have suffered enough at the hands of the terrorists. Time has come for the terrorists to realize that their only option left for them is to give up their violent ways and join the main stream to build a peaceful and prosperous nation. As the region moves forward we stand by the people who have been striving for peace.

Abdul Quddus.
DET-United States Central Command.

Should have done this 10 years ago. They strike us, we take out their key men.

From now on do this after every terrorist attack, perhaps after the 10th time they will understand there we are watching them and there will be consequences.

And can we please start gathering intel on every Afghan living in the country. We need start a national campaign, neighborhood watch and anonymous terrorist help line where people can report suspicious people.
