Top Gamer Ninja Deletes TikTok Over Privacy Concerns

.
The US gov. needs congressional approval to access private citizens data. While china have no restriction on the matter.

The Snowden leaks suggest otherwise. The secret FISA courts, PRISM, the Patriot Act that gives the US government sweeping powers, etc. Did you forget the US was caught spying on the entire world and tech companies were forced to work with the government?

really!!
Then you are even more novice than I thought.

Nobody needs to use Tik Tok..Its not an essential need.
Its a fun app, yes, but Chinese software companies are well known to steal clipboard data under the pretext of many vague excuses. Now even if they try to rectify their wrong doings, the damage has been done and consumers have become more aware about how apps interact with their devices and privacy concerns.

If you really have 20 years of experience in IT I would not expect you to raise this question.
I am not from the IT industry but I am well aware that there is a BIG difference in how US companies try to monitor your data compared to Chinese. The US companies do it transparently and clearly mention this in the terms and conditions. The data is used by marketers to boost conversions from their ads and for better targeting. However, Chinese companies are mainly interested in spying on people for the CCP government - that is the main difference.

Tik Tok until quite recently was monitoring the clipboard of its users, which is completely unacceptable intrusion of privacy.

Hehehe. Well, what can I say.
I am happy for you to hold on to your opinion.
I have mine.

. .
I ask people, how much privacy Facebook, Twitter, Google etc intrude upon!!
Do you have any ideas!!
They can track you right to your door number, wake up world.
They keep tracks on millions of people, whose data is passed to the Western agencies quietly, without they ever knowing.
if app made by americans are so unsafe

I for one , couldn't careless for any app.
I only use my phone for emergencies, like it should be. My eyes are not peeled to my mobile.
When I am home, and don't want to be disturb, i throw my mobile somewhere and forget about it completely and won't touch it for days, if i need to.
In London undergrounds' I am among few those whose eyes are not staring at the stupid mobile phones.

Check each and every app in your phone and see that they are asking permission to read everything.
