We have 4 more older Agostas and Xcraft subs for SSGN.

Not to forget the 4x Corvettes on order....From Damen n US.

8 Subs on order.

Frigates coming from China.

And Milgem in works...aswell as a new SSGN Sub.

Can you tell me more about SSGN Sub? SFs in a submarine?

Your Navy Reflects Your Economic Trading Status

The 7 Most powerful Navies on The Planet ARE ALSO the 7 largest Economies & TRADING natioins

ie
USA
China

Followed by

Japan
UK
France
India
Russia

The two go HAND IN HAND

Navy transformation is happening , of course it will take time but what i see around 2020 PN will have a fleet of something like that .

1 OHP Frigate
4 F-22 P
4 Chinese Frigate 4000 Ton
4 Turkish Ada Class Corvette
4 Damen OPV's
4 Swift Ships 75 Meter Corvette/OPV
6-8 Azmat Class FAC
8-10 Patrol Boats

now what i personally think PN should go for is something like this ..this is more like wish list so don't go crazy over numbers and money issues . Time line 2020

1 OHP as Americans wont sell more .
4 f-22P as they wont get anymore of that Design .

Numbers for Chinese 4000 Ton Frigate must be around 6-8.
4 Turkish Ada is fine .
2 Turkish Istanbul Class Frigates ( very important ) .
2 Type 52 Destroyers from China ( very important ) with a 32 to 64 Cell VLS long range SAM's and 2 FL-3000 24 cell CIWS.

4 Damen OPV's Fine .
4 Swift Ships OPV's fine .
we should increase the number of FAC to 12-14 .

and around 14-16 Patrol Boats .
We should add more Coast Defense Batteries with 400 KM Anti Ship Missiles

At least 2 Anti Submarine Planes like Pi8 Poseidon
Last but not the least , we should raise a 18 Unit Sq of Flankers for Naval Strikes roles supported by No.2 Sqs of Jf-17 Thunder

Yes... SSGN is the only SF in the region operating them..

Can attack enemy units in harbour with Frogmen/Charriots, at sea with torpedos, at shore installations by commandos etc. Other uses include mine laying, defensice barrier in shallow waters, advance pickets duties, intelligence gathering etc.

Well Pakistan had option to buy few retiring destroyers in past and they missed out on it and no alternative came

I remember one times we had option to get British retiring Destroyers it was actually offered to Pakistan but for unknown reason we opted to not buy it :coffee: may be the sea going admirals thought the OHP program will offer them 5-8 OHP level ships and we all know nothing but 1 single ship came our way

I recall reading in news paper it was stated they thought the cost to maintain the yearly operation of the ship was above what the navy was willing to commit to and for that a fully worthy destroyer was just not inducted

We have 4 more older Agostas and Xcraft subs for SSGN.

Not to forget the 4-6x Corvettes on order....From Damen n US.
1 OPH

8 Subs on order.

Frigates coming from China.

And Milgem in works...aswell as a new SSGN Sub.

Can't really add these in yet as they are not yet delivered or constructed or handed over

PN might try to get those Type 23 Frigates from the Royal British Navy , we can add 2-4 if they come cheaper with a life span of 10-15 years .. they will be good for adding numbers @Blue Marlin @Penguin

Well the present new projects introduced are certainly a step in correct direction

a) Azmat class missile boat 10/10 project done :enjoy:
b) F22p induction another successful 10/10 project done :enjoy:
c) A complete overhaul of our coast guard capabilities with arrival of 10 ships 10/10 :enjoy:
d) Arrival of 7 Sea King from UK 10/10 project done :enjoy:

Future Navy Impact Projects
a) Milgem
b) OPV dutch
c) Swift Corvettes
e) Existance of Submarine research project
f) Arrival of New frigates (Possible F22P+ Or C28A or other bigger export type)
g) Arrival of Submarines
h) Possible purchase of Scientific marine research ship

From recent last 10 year review , the Navy is certainly moving in right direction
Always good to invest in newer ship

We really can't criticize the steps taken these are well planned steps and over years we will see some benefits in due time

The current backward ranking is only because we did not do much between 1980 and 2010, we have to makeup for missing 30 years

The change will be slow but it will happen, it is a slow and steady approach taken by Pakistan Navy

The first goal for Pakistan navy is at least at just Asian Level have a respectable Navy force

Your Navy is by far the weakest link

Evan WORSE the Strongest link to INDIAN MILITARY is ITS Navy.

The Indian Navy commanders are the most forward thinking people in INDIAN military. 70% of all new Ships being built are indengious indian designs . Over 40 warships are being assembled in india over next decade

These projects have created thousands upon thousands of JOBS for indian engineers science graduates and Labour.

IF PAKISTAN is ANSWER this threat it needs INVESTMENT & FORWARD THINKING NAVAL COMMAND

.
All countries that build their own warships have the strongest navies.
