Jet fighters have important role in military aviation. Military aviation is no doubt the foremost strategic weapon these days, each in terms of combat effectiveness and of crucial technologies enforced. In trendy warfare, air dominance is a must from day one, in order that air-to-surface and air-to-sea operations are often conducted safely and with efficiency. And fighting jets continually play a significant role in air dominance. With the advancement in technology several countries modernized their fighting jet to full fill the requirement of day. Here is a list of 10 incredibly advanced jet fighters; some of them are part of military aviation and other are going to be part in close to future.

10. Chengdu J-10

The J-10 from China makes part of the most advanced jet fighters in the world. Designed and produced by the China’s Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) for the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), the J-10 is a multirole combat aircraft capable of all-weather operation. The Pakistan Air Force is the only export contractor for the J-10 currently.

9. F-16 Fighting Falcon

Originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force, F-16 Fighting Falcon is at No. 9 in our list. Designed as an air superiority day fighter, this single-engine fighter evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Since production was approved in 1976, more then 4,500 aircraft have been built and serve in the air forces of 25 other nations.

8. Mikoyan MiG-35

At No. 8, the Russian fighter MiG-35 – stands as the ultimate evolution of the MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter series. The MiG-35 has vastly improved avionics and weapon systems, especially the new AESA radar and the distinctive designed OLS, relieves the aircraft from relying on GCI (ground-controlled interception) systems and enables it to conduct independent multi-role missions. According to Russian military, the new MiG-35D multirole fighters as an equal to the U.S. F-35 jet fighters.

7. Dassault Rafale

The french Dassault Rafale comes at No. 7 among the world’s most advanced jet fighters. Designed and built by Dassault Aviation, Rafale is a twin-engine, canard delta-wing, multirole fighter aircraft. Almost entirely built by one country, Rafale is distinct from other European fighters of its era with a high level of legerity, capable of at the same time playing air domination, interdiction, intelligence activity, and mobile nuclear deterrent missions.

6. F-15 Eagle

One of the most successful modern and advanced jet fighters, with over 100 aerial combat victories. Designed by McDonnell Douglas, F-15 Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter jet. The Eagle first flew in July 1972, and since that, it has been exported to many nations, notably Japan, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

5. Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet

Based on the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a combat-proven strike fighter with built-in versatility. The F/A-18E/F’s suite of integrated and networked systems provides enhanced interoperability, total force support for the combatant commander and for the troops on the ground. Both the F/A-18E (single seat) and F/A-18F (two-seat) models convert quickly from one mission type to the other with the flip of a switch to provide consistent air dominance.

4. Sukhoi Su-35

At 4th place among the most advanced jet fighters is the Russian made heavy class, long-range, multi-role one-seat fighter Su-35. The jet is designed by Sukhoi from the original air superiority fighter Su-27. It was originally designated Su-27M and later named Su-35. The aircraft is considered a close cousin of the Sukhoi Su-30MKI (a modernized Su-30 variant for India), because of the similar features and components it contains.

My choice the Eagle.
I believe they developed silent eagle also don't know inducted or not since they have Raptors and F-35, may be in near future they offer to other counties, will be a very good choice for PAF.

Israel shows a sudden interest in the "Silent Eagle"

In 2009, Boeing had an idea. Instead of developing an entirely new fighter for a market already dominated by the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, it would update an already existing fighter with the latest in technology. Even better, it would be low observable—a step below stealthy planes such the F-35 and F-22 Raptor.

The result: the Silent Eagle. Based on the F-15E Strike Eagle, Silent Eagle would be an affordable alternative to the F-35. It would be an attractive option to countries such as Japan, Israel and South Korea, countries that already had F-15s and wanted a long-range, multi-role, stealthy fighter.
Earlier this year Iran and the West came to an agreement on limiting Iran's nuclear program. Under the terms of the agreement Iran agreed to dismantle most of its nuclear program in return for a lifting of economic sanctions. Israel, which has an, uh, contentious relationship with Iran, is now pushing for a list of weapons it wants as insurance in case the deal fails.

The standout on the list? A squadron of Silent Eagles.

The original F-15 Eagle was originally designed purely as an air-superiority fighter. The slogan during the F-15's development was "Not A Pound for Air-to-Ground," and it worked; until the development of the F-22 Raptor, the F-15 was the best dogfighter in the world. But the Eagle's large, beefy frame, two seater capability, and powerful engines made a multi-role version of the F-15 an attractive prospect, and the F-15E "Strike Eagle" was born.

Silent Eagle is a Strike Eagle given the stealth treatment. The aircraft has a Radar Cross Section Reduction Package, which includes radar-absorbent materials, form-fitting fuel tanks, and vertical stabilizers at a radar-reducing 15 degree cant.
Silent Eagle even has a pair of internal weapons bays built into the fuselage to hide Sidewinder and AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, JDAM satellite guided bombs, andSmall Diameter Bombs. The lack of missiles and drop tanks hanging off the wings and fuselage improves the aircraft's radar-cross section.

Silent Eagle also features plenty of non-stealth upgrades including a powerful
Active Electronically Scanned Array radar, an infrared search and track capability for air-to-ground and air-to-air combat, and an updated electronic warfare suite. Boeing touts Silent Eagle's greater situational awareness, faster jamming, and accurate threat location.

Israel wants Silent Eagles because the jets are capable of striking targets at longer ranges than the F-35 and still incorporate a measure of stealth. For Isreal, the Silent Eagle is essentially insurance for if the worst happens and the Iran deal does fall through— if Israel eventually has to launch air strikes, a Silent Eagle-type platform will be essential for dealing with Iran's air defenses.
If the U.S. government does accede to Israel's request, this could spark new interest in the Silent Eagle. South Korea could select Silent Eagle if its efforts to build its first fighter, KF-X, fall through. Japan is under increased pressure from China. Even Canada, which has vowed to scrap its F-35 purchase, could show interest.

And so, after years of being left for dead, suddenly there's a pretty good chance the Silent Eagle will fly back out from the graveyard of aviation.

Where is Grippen NG in the List.

My personal favorite is F-14 Tomcat.

F-35 is a dud (so far)! Raptor is good but not cost effective. Production has closed due to prohibitive maintenance costs. J-10 is as yet untested in combat.

Where is Grippen NG in the List.
Gripen NG loses out due to its single engine which has been modified from the Super Hornet's General Electric F414 turbofan engine.

MIG 35 is not even in production i reckon and still its in the list ?

F35 is very heavy least maneuvering 5th gen fighter. Its good at bvr or beyond visual range. Once some like f16 come closer can easily toast it. It relies on avionics and stealthness only. Some 4++ gen fighter have far superior overall capabilities like su35 rafale eurofighter f16v. As stealth detecting radars are already proved such a heavy white elephant is useless and bad option to be no1.
