Air gun or even target shooting with a non-olympic rifle/pistol is very different from standard firearms. They are capable of much higher accuracy/precision and far lower recoil. Going by a similar line of logic, Mongolia should be winning all the archery medals.

Nice tight race for gold and totals between China and the US which should be like that all the way through till the last event. China will be very difficult to beat with the talent and dedication and discipline they always have and exhibit in these games. Looking forward to the track & field events for sure.
