We took in Millions of Afghans when they were invaded by the Soviets, we didn't have to. We took Millions of Afghans in when they were invaded by the US and NATO and we didn't have to. We took a economic hit for them, we gave some of them citizenship, shared our food and water and laid our lives for them. We lost thousands in their war, our children were martyred and fields turned red with blood, yet we never asked anything in return, no money, no blood, no vengeance. Afghans are our brothers , why would we want to hurt them? We want peace in Afghanistan and we have paid enough towards it.

We on the other hand have about a million men under arms, have a martial tradition, are an acknowledged nuclear power, a once proud Muslim nation and we like to whimper.

I'm saying that naked courage results in one getting outmanoeuvred by the less courageous. and some people in their courage have a tendency to carry suicidal and destructive acts that don't help anybody.

nothing sick in what I've said. in this day and age of intelligence, courage can be a liability. it might have been useful in the days of swords and face to face fighting, but now the courageous fighters just get shot by the cowardly snipers and drone operators.

you can't control afghanistan. this is the end of story. we control it because we don't want problems on that side of border.
