I look forward to watching the live broadcast, haha, a little bit excited :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :china: :china: :china:

Bro, this is absolutely unprecedented and at the level of this technological epoch making prowess!

Indeed, the mediatic coverage is at a never seen before level, with a live broadcast that was started already 3 hours ago on WEIBO:

Also on youtube:

Note according to the youtube livecast, liftoff ETA -06:56:00 at 4:15 Beijing Time 24th November 2020, or 20:15 UTC 23rd November 2020.

2. Chang'e 5 launch trajectory & initial parking orbit.

The orbital inclination appears to be around 22 degrees, with a launch time around 21:00UTC and translunar insertion around 25 minutes after launch, assuming a 3 to 4 day lunar coast.

3. The orbital inclination appears to be around 22 degrees, with a launch time around 21:00UTC and translunar insertion around 25 minutes after launch, assuming a 3 to 4 day lunar coast.

The numbered green +'s in this plot indicate the lunar antipode at different days, e.g. for a 3 day lunar coast, translunar insertion would have to happen at the +3 day point.

4. The numbered green +'s in this plot indicate the lunar antipode at different days, e.g. for a 3 day lunar coast, translunar insertion would have to happen at the +3 day point.

For the launch the parking orbit is almost co-planar with the line connecting the antipodes, so the launch time/lunar coast period is not well known yet. See for example the situation for the Chang'e 5T1 mission from Xichang, where the launch time confirmed the 4 day lunar coast.

After Finishing China's Large Modular International Space Station (CLM-ISS) in LEO Orbit (2021-2022). They will focus on the Moon.

They will launch Chang-e 6 in 2023 to get sample from South Pole of Moon, after that Robotic Chang-e 7 will launch in 2024 to the South Pole of Moon, followed by Chang-e 8 in 2025/2026 with 3D Space Printer and Luna-27 from Russia. All of that will become Foundation of China's International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) in the South Pole of The Moon

They would also build Space Station on Moon Orbit for Foundation of their Permanent Human Presence Mission on The Moon.

From 2035 onwards, they will build Permanent Human Presence on The Moon

I made a record of the Chinese rocket Long March 5 when it crossed the skies of Brazil on the way to the Moon. The launch took place on the platform of the Wenchang space center at around 20:00pm UT. I took the photo at 21:42pm UT. What we see in the photo is the activation of the last stage pushing the rocket for insertion in lunar orbit. The rocket takes the Change'e-5 probe that will collect lunar samples and bring them to Earth by the end of this year. I think a lot of people in the city must have seen it. It was very bright and easily visible to the naked eye. I used a 100mm lens, ISO 1600, F2 with 2s exposure. the other photo, with jupiter and saturn was with the cell phone

With 4 successful launches in 11 months the Long March 5 has finally been established as China's main EELV-Heavy class launcher.

Next launch will be in the CZ-5B configuration lifting yet another of China's flagships - the Core Module of the future Chinese Space Station NET March 2021.

International reactions

China was praised as a model and as a major victory for the whole humankind in traditionally friendly capitals.

FARSNEWS in Tehran, I.R.I. wrote in this regard in a bylined article:

China Launches Chang'e-5 to Collect, Return Moon Samples

2020-November-24 13:10

"Unmanned rendezvous and docking in lunar orbit will be a historic first. It will be very difficult," said Peng Jing, deputy chief designer of the Chang'e-5 probe from the China Academy of Space Technology under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

"We could call it a milestone mission. Its success will help us acquire the basic capabilities for future deep space exploration such as sampling and takeoff from Mars, asteroids and other celestial bodies," Peng said.

"Domestic and overseas scientists will all have a chance to get the lunar samples to be brought back by Chang'e-5 for research," Pei added.

As expected, uneasiness and sleepless night in both Washington:

With Chang’e 5, China has launched an effort to join the U.S. & the former Soviet Union in obtaining lunar samples. We hope China shares its data with the global scientific community to enhance our understanding of the Moon like our Apollo missions did & the Artemis program will.

But also in other E.U. capitals:

Today's news as reported in French TV channel CNEWS, announcing a space probe launched by China to collect rocks from nowhere, as the word MOON was deliberately omitted!:omghaha:

And in other French news website:

The #COVID ー 19 epidemic, human rights abuses and misused technological power have all helped make China the second worst-perceived country in France, behind North Korea. https://lemonde.fr/international/

But rage and despair only betray the deluded and more dead than alive western world and its total sense of insecurity, doomed to go extinct as a species and with no future in this 21th century of COVID-19 and all-pandemics world, unlocked by the sub-tropical earth thanks to their irresponsible and self-defeating man-made global climate warming.
