There you are. What is the summary of what he is saying?

"I am custodian Islam. I will bring Islam to Pakistan"

Who can argue against this? The guy of course is deriving his powers from Objectives Resolution of 1949 which is preamble to the constitution of Pakistan. The first paragraph of the Objectives Resolution states -

1. Sovereignty over the entire universe belongs to Allah Almighty alone and the authority which He has delegated to the state of Pakistan, through its people for being exercised within the limits prescribed by Him is a sacred trust.[2]

So to put it simply. TLP think they are custodians of Islam. Since Objective Resolution states quite clearly that sovereignty belongs to Allah it follows that they [TLP] are the agents of that sovereignty. Rest just follows from this.

These laws are often abused to settle scores, but there are also genuine cases of abuse. The death penalty is too extreme for such a case. Need amendments because this blasphemy BS will be exploited by Western powers. They love to highlight such instances.

Also, we need to take control of things. First we sold our country to the highest bidder the USA which exploited and destroyed Pakistan from the word go. We need to implement rule of law. Pakistan has other challenges which are Herculean as they are. This BS cannot and shouldn't consume any time or energy. This BS flares up from time to time and the Western nations are on it like a fvcking hyena. Besides, we need to enter the 21st century for once.

Amend this colonial law. Anyone found guilty of abusing any religion or prophet is out there to stir hate and create a rift in the society. Obviously that cannot be tolerated either. Such a person should be locked up after the accusation is proven in court of law. If not, aqcuit the person and get on with the next job. This whole death sentence drama that takes place in front of the media becomes an oxygen for Western powers.
