TLP threatens to paralyse country if Aasia Bibi is acquitted

Well said, but I think the two pivotal points in history from which this monster was made are -

  • 1949 Objectives Resolition. This provided the the legal basis, theoretical blueprint and inspiration for the likes of TLP, TTP etc
  • 1979/1989 Afghan Jihad. This provided the practical training, empowerment and organisation of such groups.
Although even within few years of 1949 in 1953 groups had began to flex their muscles and we saw the Ahmedi riots. The crux of the matter was. Pakistan is for Islam. Mullah are the custodians of Islam. So Pakistan should be run by Mullahs. After all who knows better about Islam then Mullahs. This idea was slowly gaining ground through the 1960s and Ayub Khan was pushed out largely because of the agitation by religious cadres. By 1970s they had become strong enough to force Bhutto to get legislate over the Ahmedi issue. By 1980s these groups had reached the zenith of their powers.
Lower your voice or You will get us both shot
On topic, Yes that's where we lost it when Jogindar Naath Mandal Resigned, Those who were the epitome of Anti-Pakistan Rants started crawling to power, Molana Modudi, Molana Mufti Mehmood, Molana Abdul haq(Father of Molana Samiul Haq and Deciple of Ippi Faqir and Hussain Ahmad Madni), We ditched Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
Furqan Force was fighting in Kashmir for Pakistan were declared traitors due to their religion and Ippi Faqir was fighting in Waziristan with support of ULEMA against Pakistan and he have squares named after him.
But their is a limit to what we can speak in public or we will instantly become the target of hate and redicule or worse being shot at and declared "Maluun". And even worse keep being abused after being murdered forever in annual congregations across the country. they don't even let the victims to their nonsense rest in peace after death.
I dont even understand how a whole nation can be hogwashed like this.

And what - leave the country to drunken generals who cosy up to Malik Riaz for a few kanals of real estate? That’s their true worth? 4 of our last generals are living abroad. And the Supreme Court will just tell the likes of Malik Riaz...you’v been a naughty boy, we’l have to fine you’, but no jail for him or corrupt politicians, only a holiday resort

I am not anti-state nor am I against the army but one should not be scared to criticise where someone is wrong.

TLP are followers of Allama Iqbal Rehmatullah Alayhi, Salahuddin Ayyubi and Imam Shamil, those who stood for haq. Not secular bozos who don’t even know how to wash their *** properly.

They are anti state. They don't accept the judgement of a court and rebel they are anti state. This is root cause of terrorism.

Purge them all along with their children. Should have been done a long time ago.

Supreme Court is for Interpretation of written laws.

Hight courts have more than the supreme court constitutionally.

Usually it takes a civil Dispute 30 years to teach the supreme court on average. Supreme Court Action is sou moto in case of clear injustice.

High court's decision can be challenged in Supreme court, that's what happening here.... If you want to deny her this right allegedly given under constitution then it's separate issue, Our constitution is for elite anyway not for even common "Muslim" public, non-Muslim kis khait ki mooli hain.

That is a different matter.

TLP threatens to paralyse country if Aasia Bibi is acquitted

LAHORE: The Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has warned of paralysing the country within hours if the Supreme Court sets Aasia Bibi, a Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy, free. The TLP directed its local leaders across the country on Friday to start holding sit-ins within hours without waiting for a decision by the central leadership, if she is freed.

“Judges’ remarks have sown doubt among the party leaders and fears that she would be released soon,” Pir Afzal Qadri, patron-in-chief of the TLP, said while addressing a rally taken out to protest the possible acquittal of Aasia Bibi.

Reading out a four-point resolution approved by the party leadership, he said the possible acquittal would be deemed an attack on Islam, the Constitution and blasphemy law. Responsibility for the subsequent law and order situation would rest with the judges, the government and all institutions supposed to protect the Constitution, he warned.

“The central leadership has already decided about a countrywide protest and local leaders should not wait for any message from the central leadership and start their sit-ins immediately,” Mr Qadri said, adding that these “nationwide sit-ins should continue till all those responsible for [Aasia Bibi’s] release are punished, even if the central leadership is incarcerated or killed”.

A number of TLP workers gathered on The Mall in Lahore and other major cities in the country, including Karachi, Multan and Gujranwala, to “pre-empt the acquittal”. Police, unlike previous rallies, did not block Charing Cross till the last moment and even when the rally arrived at the venue, the road was blocked by the party workers who dragged barriers put up to block access to the Punjab Assembly building and encircled the crossing.

Addressing the rally later, firebrand TLP chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi not only seconded the decisions announced by Mr Qadri but also took on the judiciary, inviting the judges to a debate on the blasphemy law and its violations on television.

He concluded his speech by asking the workers to be ready for nationwide sit-ins. “Stay ready and wait for Tuesday when another important announcement would be made,” he said.

In Karachi, the TLP held a big rally warning the government against showing any flexibility in cases pertaining to blasphemy. The participants of the rally demanded the execution of Aasia Bibi and action against those pursuing a campaign in her favour.

Hundreds of participants marched from Hasan Square to Numaish intersection where leaders of the party addressed the rally. Traffic on main University Road and then on M.A. Jinnah Road remained badly affected.

The TLP leaders asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to come up with a clear policy on blasphemy laws and satisfy the people who had voted him to rule under the Constitution.

The charged participants of the rally on motorbikes, buses, cars and pickups chanted slogans vowing to protect the blasphemy law.

A TLP statement said the rally was part of its countrywide movement against the “possible acquittal of blasphemy convict Aasia Bibi”.

“There is a growing campaign for the release of Aasia Bibi and the recent steps coupled with statements from the people of the ruling party suggest that the government is considering a kind of relief for Aasia Bibi,” said Allama Razi Hussaini while addressing the rally.

Qhen is rudd ul fassad going for Tlp??
Or its there le palak child??

these are long term measures but immediate action shoud be that she should not be released and gradually we can find solution to other matters

Lets say tomorrow someone wrongly accuses your mum of blasphemy and they lock her for over a decade, how would you feel? Wouldnt you want your mum to get her deserved freedom? Or should she stay in jail just because some people with tiny brains think that its better for Pakistan for her to suffer endlessly?

.
i think first of all court must not given decision against her if she was not guilty as judges were not uneducated and know more about law than others. Now even if decision is overruled people will not accept it as western powers compaign to free her has already made it controversial. She is not declared by ordinary person but judges of court so fault is in judiciary not ordinary people or Mullahs

i think she is cia agent planted to cause unrest in Pakistan. She should be hanged as she is the reason of Creation of TLP and killing of taseer and hanging of Mumtaz Qadri .The manner in which international forces supporting her release shows she will be used by u.s and west for defaming Pakistan like mala Yousafzai once she is released and allowed to move abroad
Well done
You are genius if asia is cia

Haven't you seen the conditions of the lower courts? Don't you know that with enough influence you can get what ever judgement you want from them? Thats the reason we have multi tiered judicial system. And these baboons are already refusing to accept the SC if the decision is not according to their liking.

Aoa

Do you, for real, believe that some random poor labourer from a random village in Pakistan, who ended up in jail for 10 years after a fight with some other poor labourer, is an actual CIA agent?
Such people are responsible for brainwashing of illiterate mobs who are easily led in to violence against unsuspecting victims .

.
the problem is with judiciary.Judges cannot be influenced by Mullah as they have no govt in Pakistan at time decision was made and judges have given decision on basis of evidence available
