how many pashtuns in paksitan lives compare to afghanistan is irrelavant. and you sidestped the question, the majority of Afghans dont have anything in common with the absolute majority of Pakistan, what you suggest is rotating around one group needlesly. Tell me what does a pashtun from afghanistna have anything in common with sindhis and panjabis who form majority of pakistan? chill out, confederation is non starter, dont even think about it.

This is debatable. Pathans are the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan. The Tajiks, Uzbeks, and Hazaras are ethnic minorities in Afghanistan. The Pathans, Balochis, and Nuristanis occupy most of Afghanistan.
The Hazaras have their differences with the Tajiks and Uzbeks. Why are you giving so much preference to ethnic minorities,

Here Paktunkhwa, Chitral and Balochistan area wise make up most of Pakistan as well.

You argument about absolute majority is FLAWED. Had the Tajiks, Uzbeks, and Hazaras been one ethnic group, I would I have thought you had a point, but these smaller groups have difference among themselves. The Pathans are the most united group in Afghanistan.

PakShah, how can i believe your wrong map above while Herat province is a stronghold of Tajiks, but in your map it shows only herat city to be a few tajiks, same thing goes to Balkh(mazari sharif) which is another city populated by tajiks, i also shouldnt forge kabul which is populated by tajiks, this map is wrong, i have seen many of these maps so ignore them. secondly, you again sidesteped another fact, what does the 58% of Afghanistan have anything in common with 85% of paksitan? make this confederation and create another unrest.

.
You really need to stop this nonsensical rant. Pashtuns (not "Pathans") make up 42% of Afghanistan, but what about the 58% of Afghanistan's population? Pashtuns are the largest Ethnic group in Afghanistan, but they are not the majority. We need to recognize Afghanistan's other ethnic groups as well, sidelining them will never bring unification and stability in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is a sovereign independent country, the sooner your realize the better.

My arguments are not nonsense. The percentages need to be given the merit they deserve, not just by only a number context, but also looking at other factors, like the other 58% have their own differences. I'm not saying giving preferences to certain ethnic group, I saying giving the ethnic groups the merit they deserve not just only on "percentages" alone.

So Ahmad, you didn't shed any light on the most important issue - does such a newspaper exist?

It was a bit extreme when i said there is not anyting in common, you need to forgive me, surely our pashtuns have in common, and off course we have got Great Alama Iqbal in common who is dearly respected in both of our countries, he has more persian poets than in Urdo and he is loved by us. we are both muslims, share long border etc, but given the current climate, and considering majority of population on both side, we have to agree that we will have little or not enough in common to form this confederation, BUT, we will benefit enormousely if we are good and trusted neighours.

Yes, economic cooperation and stability in both countries can be mutually beneficial.

I think the UN, immediate neighbours, india, the US, russia, china, and even the EU, need to take our hand and help us stand on our feet, withtout the honest cooperation of all the above mentioned, trust me we will remain as miserable as we are.

But don't you think this is where the problem takes it roots? The involvement of foreign powers that are not directly affected by the turbulence in Afghanistan and share no border with the country whatsoever? These powers will only exploit Afghanistan for their own purposes and not for the benefit of Afghanistan.

I think it would be a much better and safer option if Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan cooperate in bringing a peaceful negotiation and mutual agreement between the different Afghan rival groups since these above countries are not rivals to each other and share similar views regarding important regional issues.
