that pandemic was a blessing for IK, it hit India and China harder than us so our exports went up as their industries shut down, oil prices went buck cheap but even then demand was superlow so oil imports were low. IMF released a covid fund which was well free dollars.

I think of IK as the lesser of all evils, sure but everytime I see people like you unreasonably come to his defence, i feel sorry for them. So high on the koolaid and not aware of it.

it was 2.5% in ‘19, -1.3% in ‘20, and finally 6.5% in ‘21 for an average of 2.56% over those three years. for better context, the whole world went through Covid but somehow BD managed to average 6% over those three years.

my solution? oh, there’s so much but what I have to offer is not relevant, is it? as long as Pakistan’s political landscape is a bunch of people hissing at each other and waiting for daddy in Pindi to give them the throne, economy will always be on the backburner.
