This would bring a fatal end to Barzani. He is surrounded by four countries: Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria. All these countries are against a Kurdish state and dividing. The reason Turkey launched a military operation in Syria is now even more clear. Turkey has broken Barzani, PKK and YPG (Northern Syria) connection. They do not have a straight line from which they can support each other against possible military interventions.

United States currently does not have the strength to support Barzani against four countries, two of which are very strong. Nor can they fight a NATO member.

For Turkey this is only an advantage. Ataturk gave a speech about '' misak-i milli '' in April 1920. Perhaps this is the chance for Turkey to achieve its goal. Mosul and Kirkuk !!

Do you live in Iraq? What is the atmosphere there? You think Iraq is gonna start a military offensive? What does Turkmens think? I mean there are a lot of Turkmen settlements at south and north of Kirkuk, as well as a sizeable minority in the city itself. Are they in position to take up arms?

No but been there and know about it (I'd say at least).

Whether this escalates to military conflict is in the hands of Kurds, whom are lately escalating things which allows Baghdad to do more as we can see. Therefor, the more they escalate the better for all of us, if Barzani starts burning Iraqi flags, insults Turkmens and calls them monkeys then be happy. Now we need the Iraqi president (Fuad Masum) to wave a Kurdish flag so that parliament can dismiss him.

You also need Demirtas to openly sing PKK songs.

Btw, I still don't know about the outcome of Iraqi chief of staff - Turkish chief of staff meeting recently. But of course they would keep it secret, I think the Hawija operation has to reach its end stages when Iraqi forces have more control in Kerkuk province, then we can see more developments with regards to KRG.

Another thing I dont understand, why do you have Kurdish presidents since 2005? How come they are elected when Kurds are only a minority?

Based on the Iraqi constitution (adopted in 2005 I believe) the political system is based on an ethno-sect sharing balance. Which states that the Iraqi president MUST be a Kurd, that the prime minister must be Shia Arab and that the parliament speaker must be Sunni. Thus these positions have been assigned to these 3 groups for over 10 years, this is a major reason why sectarianism was given a spark in Iraq. They (whoever wrote that shitty constitution) said this system was going to be a solution to give each group 'equal representation' whilst in fact it promotes sectarianism.

Only lately more Kurds are being removed given their clear hostility. A few years ago the chief of staff was a Kurd as well, currently the air force top general is still a Kurd. Kurds were given many top positions after 2003 given they were US loyalists. There has also been development over the past 2 years to drop the ethno-based political system although this takes time to implement, the amount of damage Kurds have done through their sabotaging and stalling of any development in Baghdad is in billions of dollars.

Let's just say that the state has been taken hostage by enemies through the constitution, only lately this is changing for the better.

Iraqi Government will establish exclusive control of boarders, airports, oil pipelines and all infrastructure ( Telekom e.g.).

Thats sounds like the "solution" we offer to South Cyprus, equal representation to Turks even though they are a minority. No sane country would accept that, if they accept it is because they are forced to accept it. Its humilating. I hope they get rid of those chains.

We could ‘come suddenly one night,’ Erdoğan warns Iraqi Kurdish government
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hinted on Sept. 25 that Turkey could launch an operation to the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) if necessary, citing a previous operation in northern Syria.

“We have a 911-kilometer border with Syria. We will never allow such a formation of [terror states]. As I said earlier, we might come suddenly one night. We did this with the Euphrates Shield Operation [in Syria]. All options are on the table regarding Iraq and Syria. We are now taking a new step, just like we cleared a 2,000-square kilometer area of [the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant] ISIL, and we will not refrain from doing it in Iraq,” Erdoğan said.

Is this his 842856268 time he said this?

He's like a parrot repeating the same thing, but he's just making us look like a fool to the world.
