WASHINGTON- US Joint Chief of Staff Chairman General Joseph Dunford has revealed the reasons for losing the Afghan war. He said three reasons are impeding the victory in Afghanistan .

1. high casualties among Afghan forces,

3. lack of air and intelligence support forthe troops

These are the main reasons that have impeded the Afghan troops win in the war so far.

“I was just in Afghanistan… couple of challenges we have had. Number one, we have suffered significant Afghan casualties; number two, the cooperation across the Afghan police, Afghan army, intelligence organizations has not been quit what it needed to be; and number three, there were short capabilities, aviation capability, intelligence capability, surface fires capability. What we have done I believe is taking a look exactly what the Afghans need to gain momentum and retain momentum against the adversary,” Dunford said.

He said US and Afghan officials hold talks with Pakistan military and political leaders and that a plan is under implementation to resolve Kabul-Islamabad tension.

At the same event, US Defense Secretary James Mattis said they will win the Afghan war by putting in place the US President Donald Trump’s strategy for South Asia and Afghanistan .

“In South Asia and Afghanistan , uncertainty in the region has been replaced by certainty of President Trump’s South Asia strategy,” Mattis said.

Just watching 'the post' movie few days ago.
More or less situation in Afghanistan, if not same but not different too.
The reason why the journalist at that time exposed their failing government, who are wasting money and lives on a war far away . Having no consequence other then showing that Us can bomb a foreign country.
This time there are some American casualities , but not that much like the Vietnam. It would cause a stir back home if there are more deaths or Corruption of American and Afghan officials exposed . Even now there is a new law that the news of any American dying would not be reported. And they claim to be free country.
Whenever I see journalist of Us, they remind me very much of Indian media. Goons sat on top chairs, working for rating without having any knowledge or knowing the situation of the country they are bombing.

It is in Us favour. The amount of money they are getting by courting Arab states and making them buy or creating situations where they have to buy American weapons. More money was going out in the war in afghanistan. The war is in 17th year. Leave and then afghans would kill each other and settle their disputes once and forever. The American led Afghan government cannot work a single day without American money and presence. War is their business, they thrive on war. So it's better to leave.
Unless you want to stay here permanently.

What South Asia strategy?

permanent US influence in Afghanistan, scapegoating pakistan for everyting or blaming any other country like Russia and Iran for US failure, india as a key component in any strategy in the region (Promoting ISIS too in afghanistan), and this is all because of containing china and later Russia ( US sees china's growing economy, military, OBOR and chines influence as a threat ) and dictation for regional countries in future (including Iran to Russia and indian ocean to South China Sea). There is no time limit for this strategy yet but cant be more then 10 years for US otherwise it would be too late for US in future.

And for this US would go to any extent come what may. (trade war with Russia-china, gray or black list for pakistan, by provoking missunderstanding among Russia, china, pakistan, iran by using india especially) etc.

It is short definition of south asia strategy.

Well Pakistan is trying to find the way to make a good relation with not only just US, Russia, china but also with india later.. pakistan can not be with only one side because US-Russia keep on ignoring pakistan's position internationally.

In short south asia strategy is the biggest secret of US to control the regions and get the Objectives. Just imagine if US fully control over Afghanistan with indian help. Futher more north korea too.. It is all about US vast strategical and national interests.

Right NOW US only has major one power which is UN and basically UN is US. european countries are blindly following US because in long term there would be no interests for european countries but the interests of US only.
