First, many of us agree with the land deal; not for BD, but for some poor helpless people. But this will take time to finalize.

Second, you are getting more than your fair share of water; so expect no more in that front...especially considering the anti-India mood in BD which doesn't go unnoticed in India.

Third, it is only in BDs interest to maintain a friendly relation with India; we hardly have anything to lose considering the fact that BD is incapable of enmity also. For example; we are getting a transit to our north-east through Mayanmar port.

India will think favorably only when we get transit ( not one off but permanent) facility. Land deal and water share etc are permanent deals so transit needs to be permanent. However we can live without transit too.
