Poverty is curse no doubt but the bigger curse is our thought process and having a vision of zero sum.

I just hope leadership in both countries and the region thank pan-region because quite frankly we are a shithole comparing to lets say to the developed world.

World tags Pak -Af together because of geographical proximity kind of similar to Turkey and Syria . Its not fair to compare us to the developed world . UK , USA , France , Germany , Japan etc are all centuries old countries . We are a young nation of 69 years only and we have done well despite the odds stacked against us . Pakistan is better of comparing with Indonesia , Iran , Vietnam etc.

5th in the world for improving water and sanitation.

There are too many indexes to count where we have done well despite our young age . Now consider all these achievements keeping in mind years of sanctions due to our nuclear programme , 4 wars with India and unwanted attention of the western world for having the fastest nuclear arsenal in the world . As for being known as the place for talis and OBD you greatly exagerate that. Not everyone believes in CNN and Fox news. We get around 1 million foreign tourists per annum here and they have no issue visiting us.

You often look too much into what media says about us rather than facts and figures.
