Look mate i won't make any comment on our C.M. as i am preparing for the West Bengal Civil Services right now,so it will be an immoral act to criticize the elected head of our state. But i am very concerned on the present condition of the State Police Forces. As you might know that W.B. is the only state in India which two separate Police Forces having their separate jurisdiction. One of them, the Kolkata Police is much better trained and motivated if we compare the two of them, but still they are under-trained and under-equipped as far as the other Metropolitan Police forces are concerned. The main disadvantage of the Kolkata Police is the lack of a dedicated SWAT like unit with ultra modern arms and urban warfare training. All these years the Kolkata Police top brasses thought that they could manage the situation with what they have in their disposal but since the discovery of the Jehadi network in Bengal i think it's high time for the Kolkata Police Department to re-organize and modernize itself to prevent any untoward incident from happening. But the real problem is the financial crunch that they are facing right now.Even though our State budget is over Rs.100,000 crore, the Police forces generally gets around 2.5-3% of the Budget which is totally inadequate to maintain a modernized force of over 93,000 men and women(W.B.Police+Kolkata Police). This is pretty absurd- a major city in India still not having a dedicated QRT? That Chief Minister has some serious questions to answer..
Why is she even still in power? She seems unanimously despised.
