Those who slaughter cows have no right to stay in India: U'khand Guv

New Delhi: Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi on Friday courted another controversy after he said that those who slaughter cows have no right to stay in India.

While addressing a gathering, Governor Qureshi said that a person can’t be Indian if he is involved in slaughtering of cows. He said he would prefer to paint his face with black ink and throw him out of the country.

Political experts observe Qureshi’s move as to appease the saffron wing to retain his post.

Aziz Qureshi was asked to step down from his post by the Centre after Narendra Modi assumed office in May. He had approached the Supreme Court.

In August, the Supreme Court had issued notice to the Centre on the Uttarakhand Governor’s plea challenging Narendra Modi government’s moves to ease him out of office, bringing the controversy over removal of UPA-appointed Governors under judicial lens.

The apex court had also issued notice to Home Secretary Anil Goswami who had allegedly threatened Governor Qureshi to resign from the post or face removal by Centre.

Qureshi was the first Governor to move Supreme Court against the Modi government.

Didn't Uttarakhand recently place a ban on alcohol? Good good. Aziz Qureshi ought to stop resisting it. Their Islamization shall soon be complete.

Search for "Muslim Vegans" - those folks must be all saffron chaddis.

For that one has to become an undisputed leader in India. A leader that no one will ever oppose, question and criticize. And then only if he/she says something there is a chance of that happening. Considering the judiciary also tags along. I don't see such a thing happening. Modi is exceptional but even he has his limitations. He is no Pied Piper. Let him say that Black Money can't be brought back and see how soon the Government falls. There are hundreds of parties, differences etc - that makes it impossible to become a monolith.

So IMO, such a thing can never happen here. Forget this Governor, nobody even knew his name before. Even if Modi or Bhagwat says something, not everyone will follow blindly.
