Why you guys spending on Thorium, you dont have requirement like India.

BD should focus on Uranium based.

Who says we can't afford to buy one? We're already buying nuclear reactors from Russia. We need to plan for the next 15-20 years time, our GDP is around $186bn already and expected reach $300bn plus in the next 6-7 years (2020), by 2030 we'll be easily able to afford what we need.

China is already working hard to build commercial thorium based reactors by 2024.

Well, research on thorium reactors is still undergoing so we can't get into any conclusion right now. The article is suggesting we could opt for thorium reactors in future, that's after 15-20 years, for now we are already under process for establishing a uranium based nuclear power plant

No bro, one country just cant jump on Thorium base, that is the whole problem. We have world 25% reserves of thorium, still India not jumping on that. Why?

In the first stage, one country have to use PHWR reactors, to produce plutonium. Thats why, India PM, President, Foreign Minister and Foreign secretary visiting every Uranium rich country and begging for Natural Uranium.

In the second stage, here come the use of Plutonium and Fast Breeder Reactors, that produce U-233 for Third Stage.

In the third stage, the U-233 and Thorium-232 is used to create electricity. And that would be refuelable reactors.
