Airbus overthinks its investments in the UK and propably will leave completly. Meanwhile first banks start to close down in London and start to transfer their HQ to Frankfurt and Dublin:

I think thats good news. Airbus is a european project and the UK leaving the EU now becomes mostly a security risk. Since Airbus openly announced to "rethink" its investments in the Uk its most likely that the core production of the wings will be moved to Germany or Italy and Spain.

Airbus doesnt "buy" engines. Your lack of business knowledge amuses me. Airlines order a specific airplane. Airbus delivers this specific airplane. During the process of orderibng the airline choses the engines it wants and those are bought by the operator in a seperate contract.

So if British Airways orderes an A380 it makes a contract with airbus for the A380 and anotehr contract with the engine supplier Engine alliance or R&R.

So good luck for R&R to stop making business with British Aiways lol

My point is that a significant proportion of Airbus planes are powered by UK engines so good luck with trying to sideline UK.

EU is no longer self-sufficient in making planes without UK and Airbus will now be like Bombardier or Embraer.

You still dont get it right? They are powered by R&R when airlines make a contract with them to power their airplanes. Airbus gives a shit what airlines chose. Thats a contract that doesnt touch the business field of Airbus in the slightest. That said its pretty much obvious that Airbus will leave the Uk and it was said before the referendum.

The point I am trying to make is that EU has lost the ability to independently manufacture civilian jets with the loss of the UK from EU.

Now, are France and Germany going to make an all-out effort to build EU jet engine capability?

Morgan Stanley - who cares as UK has made a deal with China, which is already the largest economy in PPP, to safeguard it's economic future.

They dont need to. The german MTU, french Snecma and others can of course build any form of engines. Infact they even developed the GP7200 build from Engine Alliance and used for the A380.

Snecma is below Pratt and Whitney in engine tech, never mid anywhere near Rolls Royce and General Electric.
