What's new

THIS IS MODERATE REBELS FOR YOU

The original FSA formed in 2011 is gone some time ago. Only the newly formed SDF can be considered moderate.

.
Yesterday I saw the video of a man carrying a lifeless and headless body of a 5 year old girl. Thanks to the Russians. And still many, many here will find a way to justify that.
using the same logic , should we expect people to spare few tears for the Yemeni victims from Saudi areal strikes? I guess not

Unlike u I don't hold double standards.
Yes the saudis are wrong. But please I don't expect you to actually use logic. So spare be the 2 faces.

.
Sir, prejudices know no logic. Ever.
indeed

welcome to the discussion sir. just wanted to share my alternate views that dont form the part of popular narrative on western and Muslim media

will like your few lines on the term "moderate rebels or moderate Jihadists"

Sir, if only I had your security to air my views. :D

My participation is more of a spectator sport these days instead of participation due to the lessons learned. The popular narrative does not tolerate anything contrary here.

I hear you
that said I feel compelled to let everyone (and my self) know that I am not apologising for Asad and his shia supporters and nor I see the Russian and Iranian involvement based on Humanitarian grounds.,
but I do want to see next nobel prize for peace to go collectively to GCC monarchs and their Israeli allies. if it was not them then evil Asad would have unleashed his terror on the entire planet.

Ijtehad, end to the sectarian war, unity is all that we need. Muslims are in the worst situation they ca be in. This shia sunni fight should end but we are part of the problem. Very few on this site do not have anti shia or anti ahmedi views. We do not feel empathy for others.

FSA has become what it was always bound to become. There is no neutral faction. In this entangling web all militants are linked. Syria has become a battle ground. I agree there may be dissatisfaction in Syria over a shia monarch killing his own people but the response is not to join ISIS. We are hopelessly lost and in a war of attrition. If the world had straight away acted in Syria to remove Assad perhaps things would be different. If anyone wants a solution I have none. I blame the regime in Syria, the mullahs of Saudia and their useless fight against shia iran, Russia America everyone for the mess they have created in Syria.

I heard a quote that as an individual a human is smart and articulate but as a crowd its just like a herd and follows the rest of the herd without thinking.
build up a popular narrative, spin it and mass distribute it and repeat it until the senses of the viewers and listeners are numbed , bring in the experts to bring "credibility" in your narrative and people will believe you

I shook my head in dismay when I saw the news of these selfless romantic warriors leaving all comforts of western life for the greater good in Syria , I was jolted when I saw the TTP and LeJ was reported to have travelled all the way there to join them too. how and why should I have expected anything better to come out of it? but it was mortifying for me that these fiends found a safe passage through our middle eastern brothers all the way up to Syria,

rest as we all know what became of that godforsaken place

It's a clusterfvck out there..And I haven't been able to bring my head around it.

How does one make sense out of the range of actors involved here from..

Asad, Iraqi Army, the saudi + GCC monarchies, Turkey, Iran, Israel, Kurds..

Americans, Russians, French, Brits, Germans, UN..

Al qaeda, Al nusra, FSA, pkk, Hesbullah, ISIS,YPG, Turkmen...and many I would have missed..

All different interest groups interlinked with different elements, it's all like a complex item wire circuitry board. Who's fighting against whom?. ..whose bombing whom?.

I had a theory earlier centered around the big oppositions namely..

Shia vs Sunni and Russia vs America..Iran vs Saudi..

But after Paris..Russians, Iranians, Americans and the Europeans seem to be bombing the same guys...While Israel, GCC and Turkey..All solid European allies are opposing it and supporting the ones being bombed..?

I also had a theory centered around the theme of Al Qaeda as the umbrella organization and all forms of jihadis..moderate, extreme to ultra crazy operating under it....and I still think that is how it is...

What I still don't get is..What the hell is in syria that has attracted so many players?.

And how is it all going to go down in the end....cause no one seems to be winning.

.
Now region is engulf in good taliban and bad taliban game....terrorist is terrorist. As far as Yeman issue, recently US presidential candidate condemn Suadi and Emarati role in Yemen, ask US govt to push Suadi govt to help US to contain and strike on ISIS area. These poor Yemani people are no threat to anyone.

.
When did it become ethical to bomb civilians.
"Most scholars agree that fortresses may be assailed with mangonels, no matter whether there are women and children within them or not. This is based on the fact that the Prophet used mangonels against the population of al-Tā’if."
