When China Surpasses USA in quality not quantity that would be something to write home. Population of 1.3 billion is bound to take you near USA who have a population of 300 million but still have a higher GDP . Average American is still 5 times more productive and richer though.

Big population doesn'e always mean better development, otherwise European countries will be the least developed regions in the world, US has big economy in dollar terms, but over half of Americans are in debt, they can't save much, cause the cost of living is very high, numbers on paper don't alway give you a comfortable life.

If popultion size decides development, all countries can just try to have more babies instead of hardworking, and south Asia should be the richest place in the world instead of being one of the poorest.

China's social credit are largely based on credit worthiness, basically the same thing.

Wrong again. What you can say is that it has a financial dimension to it as well... you cannot call getting socially marginalized as credit worthiness. People not being able to take a plane or ride a train or getting slower internet speeds having anything to do with finances but it does promote a citizenry the state wants with a carrots and sticks approach.
