• Iran-Iraq war: Iraq invaded when it had 200,000 soldiers 2,700 Tanks + 3,000 APC/IFV + 300 combat aircraft while Iran had 100,000 soldiers 500 tanks + 100 combat aircraft

• Chad-Libya conflict: 40,000 Libyan soldiers with 2,000 tanks, an equal number of APC/IFVs + large amounts of artillery While Chad had 10-20,000 Soldiers with no heavy equipment , just pick-up trucks

• Ogaden war: 40,000 Somali soldiers invaded Ethiopia which had half that number protecting the border (Somalis are Arabized Africans, so they count.)

In recent events, Saudi vs. Yeman. Saudis aren't doing a good job either.

I always get confused about this. Somalia is in Arab League, right ? I wonder what is that supposed to mean.

Somalis are ethnically Black Africans, but they are Arabized. So the Arab league let them in.

he is buried in Syria alright! Not sure about birth place. AND YES, He sure was a great general, among the very best!
It is only that when we normally read the words "one of the best Muslim generals ever" the mind immediately goes to the likes of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed, Salah ud din, Tariq bin Ziyaad, Muhammad bin Qasim and many others like him. That is why i missed Nur ud Din

Anyway, you are right, this incident involving the Israel and Arab war was a shame for all these countries if not all Muslim world!
