Former India cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin has reportedly got married for a third time. Azhar, a veteran of 99 Tests and 334 ODIs for India, has tied the knot with long-time friend Shannon Marie, according to a report in Maharashtra Times.

Azhar and Shannon were spotted together during a vacation in Paris in 2013, when Shannon had claimed that Azhar was just a friend. On Saturday however, Azhar, while visiting his deceased driver Jaan Mohammad's family in order to offer condolences, introduced Shannon as his wife. She was cladded in a burqa. Azhar and his wife were recently present during an IPTL match featuring the Indian aces and Phillippine Mavericks in New Delhi.
Azhar was first married to Naureen, with whom he had two sons, Asad and Ayaz, and whom he divorced after nine years of marriage. He then married model-actor Sangeeta Bijlani in 1996 before the couple separated in 2010. A year later, his son Ayazuddin, aged 19, died in a road accident.
The former India captain's life has been nothing short of a roller-coaster and soon people will get to witness it in his biopic titled 'Azhar', in which bollywood actor Emran Hashmi will play the lead role. Regarded as one of India's best captains and the best slip fielder back in the day, Azhar's career ended in disgrace, with him receiving a life ban for alleged involvement in match-fixing in the year 2000.
