India is a vast country. Moreover elections there are happening for so long that it is an administrative thing.

In Pakistan we stopped elections so many times, that now voting has turned into a monstrosity affair.

You guys vote in phases. We vote all in one day

Thats owing to large number of voters and security arrangements. Election commission almost always go for multi phase vote as it eases the logistic arrangements and movement of election personnel ultimately leading to smooth conduct of election process.
