Seems like the every dick, dick and dick of PML (N) and the KALA KOT Lawyers community is hell bent on implicating Musharraf. Following is my priority list of things to do before and if I decide to implicate Musharraf.

1. Get Zardari off as the President of Pakistan, soon.

2. Implicate Zardari by neutralizing NRO and getting all the ill gotten wealth back into Pakistan.

3. Implicate Nawaz Sharif and his co-horts who brought Pervez Musharraf as COAS by-passing other senior Generals in the first place.

4. Implicate Nawaz Sharif and make him accountable for all of his wealth currently stored outside of Pakistan.

5. Abolish Presidential Powers through 17th amendment

6. Rate the present Government performance compared to the development graph during Musharraf era.

Why blame a military man who was not supposed to govern? Why not blame the politicians first who have been the real culprits of having dictators in the first place? If Nawaz Sharif did not have the b@lls to walk on behest of being shot when Musharraf took over; & Zardari peaks at the corruption scale; I am all in favor of first filtering these failed politicians out of the system.

Give me good governance in a civil government and I will give your the guarantee that no General would dare take control of my nation in the future.

Your argument in your post is like the old argument of what came first the egg or the hen let us start fixing one thing at a time then we may be subject to some kind of justice.

Happy 14th of August everybody. :pakistan:

Just to make it clear. By going after Musharraf we are certainly
not "fixing one thing at a time". We are doing injustice overall. The politicians talking of accounting Musharraf are doing so because of their own personal agendas which include matters ranging from ethnicism to revenge to hiding their own faliures.

Now its the duty of the PEOPLE to realize what's going on, instead of falling prey to these shamefull acts of blames, malignment and what not.
If someone does not agree with the highlighted words written above, then he/she should

1) check the records of all "democrats" of the 90's and compare them with what happened post-1999(this is for those who even after having the mental capacity find it hard to realize who is good for Pakistan and who's bad. Infact I dont even know if being good for the country and making it progress remains the merit of a leader or not, since March 2007, a book has suddenly taken over all other priorities.)

2)Watch and listen the tone, style and priorities of every politician going after Musharraf.(for people confused and having the tendency to believe what every other politician.)
Look at thier faces and honestly judge the intentions and the characters and the genuiness of their talks.
Unfortunately our nation which is already busy in daily lifelike activities and worried on how to pass a single day in life without electricity and the basic neccessities of life, seemingly doesn't care or dont have time and awareness to read indifferent characters and figure out who's honest with the country and who dishonest, hence the confusion.

To counter your argument; let us then start for the START and line up all the culprits, dead or alive! Let us purge ourselves in an honest fashion then dabbling in a selective justice process that only serves a few and is not lasting.

You will fix one thing and break twenty others! Trying Musharraf only is like a dog chasing its own tail trying to take the tick out! Round and Round we go, but nowhere do we get! :agree:

Who will do this inquiry? UN!
Nawaz was PM of Pakistan responsible for every thing and if he did not knew any thing (until bill clinton told him) than it was his own fault.
If Nawaz think that he knew nothing than why didn't he ask report from ministry of defence in due time?
We should not waste any more money on use futile inquiries.

All what is important to know is Nawaz Sharif was most powerful PM and P.Musharraf was cheif of army at the time of kargil.
Musharraf is only answerable to the technical part, if he failed in carryign out his professional job or not!

I think we all know technically Musharraf proved much more professional than his counterpart in india.
We also know that our politicians failed on political front as compare to their counterparts in india, mainly because every one have only one objective in mind and that is to get rich.
and cannot implicate india in terror activities as indian politicians did to Pakistan over bombbay hotel drama.

And why not.......lets get everything out from who killed who and how we lost bangladesh..

let there be accountability accross the board. Military dictators, politicians, maliks, waderas, sardars, chaudhris etc etc. But first an impartial jury & judge.
They will find the sins of politicians outweigh the sins of military dictators, in spite of having Zia, the devil incarnate in their lot.

People have nostalgic memories of the good days under Ayub & Mush, albeit few years. Does any politician's reign evoke such memories for even a short span of time???

ZAB's reign was full of vindictive economic policies, which ruined all sectors of the economy- Banking & Finance, Industrial, Insurance, Education, agriculture etc etc. He was very selfish and an egomaniac.

BB's & NS 2 reigns were full of loot & plunder, bankruptcy of the country with stupidity personified in NS.
Ejaz ul Haq was a middle level officer in Bank of America in Bahrain. The Shariff family were owners of a small steel re-rolling mill.
The evil political-Military nexus of NS & Zia has made the Shariff family

Just a side query;

Who is this LORD NAZIR character and with whose mandate is he interfering in the politics of Pakistan by trying to go after Musharraf in UK? This 'Lord' seems to be in Pakistan more than being the public servant of the British! He also seems to be on the payroll of Nawaz Sharif and is more like his mouthpiece/ snap-poodle in the UK

Agreed! Let us start accountability from 1947 and not 2009 like being proposed by NS and his cohorts!
Yep, plus we should also put Mountbatten and British on trial for giving Kashmir to india even though it was Muslim Majority area.

Of Course if YOU want to!

I am more concerned of starting the process once we officially became Pakistani's! Not really concerned with the time before that!
