If one is secular, I beg to ask, what he has done for Indian populace? When there was Tsunami or floods in Uttaranchal and J&K, he did not do a single charity show, while Vivek Oberoi came to Chennai and stayed here till he completed the housing projects for the Tsunami affected.
When his movie was threatened by Shiv Sena, his fans came to theatres to protect the movie from being stopped. They are Hindus. Where was ur tolerance then Mr. SRK?
When there was flood in Pakistan, he was there at the forefront to organise and raise money (which was ofcourse a great humanitarian gesture). But why the humanitarian gesture is not for Indians? At the same time, he said, “respect those who returned awards, but I don’t have to.” “People put words into the air even before thinking and here is a secular country. Here is a country perhaps for the last 10 years that is on the cusp of going beyond what we think,” Shah Rukh, said elaborating his views on the growing intolerance.


Shah Rukh also responded to criticism about actors not participating in the protest and raising their voices. He stressed that being a star, it was tough for him to take a stand on every moral issue. “We may talk about freedom of speech, but people come outside my house and throw stones…\” “If I do take a stand, I’ll stand by it,” he stressed. The star also said that no one can and should ever question his patriotism. “We will never be a superpower if we are not going to believe that all religions are equal,” he added. To wish the actor on his milestone event, his fans started gathering outside his bungalow ‘Mannat’ since the wee hours of morning.

No body is saying that they are no 'incidents' of intolerance in india....few incidents of such doesn't reflect reality...
Your indirect reference to hinduism as sole reason for these incidents is rather saddening!!
I've faced incidents of my Christian colleagues mocking my religious practices...that dosent change my opinion against a particular religion in fact I've done my schooling in a Christian school!!
My point is these incidents have happened before are happening now and will happen in future...after all we are 1.25 billion people out of them few hotheads causing these incidents is only natural...even statistically!!
Culprits should always be punished!!
Remember that a man in saffron shirt vandalising or man with a beard and skullcap shooting or a man caught converting baiting money do not represent their religion!!
