Japan never was punished properly for the atrocities it committed. Germany accepted punishment and paid lot of penalty for the atrocities. Germany committed Holocaust killing millions just because they did not like them (not for war purposes). Japan did many crimes as well but not to the level of Germany in WW2.

Ask Japan, why they just fled and left behind their children, isn't that the most despicable thing to do for any humans? Those orphans were all adopted and brought up by their Chinese adoptive parents and went back to Japan after China and Japan normalized the relations in the late 1970's and early 1980's.

Chinese people are very nice people, adopted the children of the enemy , many Chinese adoptive parents had many family members killed by the Japanese troops, but they still adopted those poor children and raised them up, gave them food, clothes, education... this is the true essence of the Chinese nation.

Some Japanese were proud of how many Chinese they killed, we Chinese are proud of how many Japanese we saved.
