Already Pakistan spending more on war of terror now natural disaster how the Pakistani government going to handle this worsening situation there is no sufficient fund in hand.

No doubt, disaster is so big that even if it happens in India....the Indian gov cant rescue themselves they would surely needed foriegn support.

Donations also coming very little.

Any source that proves donations are little.

It can be little to demand but we can see the open heart of world community and the narrow mind of India as we are looking on this thread

Response outside world is very poor, so far only USA and China given some fund's.

UK, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Saudia Arabia also supporting us....look up the links.

UN secretary general again again appealing the international community to give more funds, today IMF giving 900 million that is also not free as a loan by IMF. I feel vey sorry for the people of Pakistan.

Londoners who have families in flood hit Pakistan have raised thousands of pounds within hours for the relief effort.

They're collecting clothes and money to send out to some of the three million people estimated to have been affected by the floods, which have claimed the lives of more than 1,400 people.

BBC London's Sarah Harris has been in Willesden Green where some of the collections are taking place.

LONDON: More than 300 million pounds of aid to help rebuild parts of Pakistan after the 2005 earthquake was diverted to other projects, a British report said Saturday.

The Daily Telegraph newspaper, citing unnamed senior Pakistani officials, said there were fears this diversion of funds would put off foreign donors from giving money to help 20 million people currently affected by heavy floods.

“There's reluctance, even people in this country are not giving generously into this flood fund because they're not too sure the money will be spent honestly,” opposition leader Nawaz Sharif told the newspaper.

The Daily Telegraph said more than 300 million pounds (370 million euros, 470 million dollars) of aid for the 2005 earthquake, which killed more than 73,000 people, has yet to be handed over to Pakistan's Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA).

It cited one senior ERRA official as saying they were told in March 2009 that 12 billion Pakistan rupees (90 million pounds) was being diverted from their budget to other government projects.

“When we have the money we will pay you,” the unnamed official said that ERRA directors had been told. “All the money was given by Western governments, but they said 'we have so many other problems'.”

In June this year, ERRA staff were again told their budget was being cut, from 43 billion rupees for 2010-2011 to just 10 billion, the newspaper said.

The paper also said it had visited the town of Balakot, where 5,000 people were killed in the earthquake. Despite a promise to rebuild it on a new site, no new roads had been completed nor had building construction begun.

Pakistan's finance secretary, Salman Siddiq, denied any foreign aid funds had been diverted and told the paper: “No cuts were imposed last year.”

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said Saturday that 20 million people had been affected by the worst floods in the country's history, for which the United Nations has appealed for 460 million dollars in aid. – AFP

There are two issue here. Firstly, US military is aiding flood victims. Secondly, US military needs support of ISI and Pakistan Army's against Talibans. ISI and Pakistan Army are supporting both US military and Talibans at the same time. In any case, Mr 10% is still causing only ten per percent of the poor image while 90% of bad image of Pakistan comes from ISI and Pakistan Army's support of Talibans.

Sir when any gov. gives aids it goes to gov. or it's agencies. And millions of $$$ is not small amount. To distribute it one need big network , well infrastructure of many different connected agencies and accurate data about disaster and affected people which only gov. (in this case GOP) can provide. There is no option other then GOP currently and if GOP is not doing well pressurize them via press and by public meetings. Mr. 10% finally needs support from people to get votes (or save his empire) same for other ministers. This is good chance for revolution (even small one) to make GOP active and people friendly.

BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- China Friday announced new emergency humanitarian aid worth 50 million yuan (7.35 million U.S. dollars) to flood-hit Pakistan.

The aid, following the earlier 10 million yuan (1.48 million U.S. dollars) worth of relief goods, includes tents, blankets, food and water purification devices that the country desperately needs.

"The aid materials will be delivered to Pakistan as soon as possible," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said.

Jiang expressed China's sympathy to Pakistan. "As a friendly neighbor,we are willing to continue aid within our own capacity to support the Pakistanis to overcome the disaster at an early date."

Pakistan is suffering from the worst floods in 80 years, which have left some 1,500 people dead.

Sir when any gov. gives aids it goes to gov. or it's agencies. And millions of $$$ is not small amount.
