Not necessarily. IRGC is a kind of militia. They are volunteers. They are not official part of Iran army. It's sort of like SS in the 1930s.

wrong, IRGC is not Iran Army yes but its a branch of Iran Armed Force that is stated in our constitution .
and that's Basij which it's armed branch is like a voluntary armed militia not IRGC

How come it does not work against the israeli fighter jets or missiles? They just struck two Iranian bases quite successfully.

Israel too scared to fly anywhere near Russian bases (closer than 200 km). Missiles also fly low and at far distance.

As far as I know due to sanctions our fighter jets are reserved for Iran and I don't think so we do that till we could either finish internal project or purchase, but we have no problem or limitation to deploy our radars and ADs in Syria as Iran is self-sufficient country in making and designing variant types of radar and ADs ...
