The United States will partially lift its arms embargo on Vietnam

Pham Binh Minh said China should not be concerned about where Vietnam purchases its weapons from, however. "If we do not buy weapons from the United States, we (would) still buy from other countries," Minh said at the Asia Society in New York. "Why should China bother about that?" To strengthen its capability against future Chinese expansion into the South China Sea, Vietnam has earmarked hundreds of millions of dollars to build more vessels, he said.
Yeah, China should be worry now. In history, when we VN was strong enough, we always demand China to cede its Guangdong.

US should give us more powerful weapon, so we can think abt occupying Guangdong again sooner :pop:

In 1075, we successfully occupied your Nanning and only retreat coz we need to focus on expanding to the Champa's lands:pop:
In 1075, Wang Anshi, the prime minister, told the Song Dynasty emperor that Đại Việt was being destroyed by Champa, with less than ten thousand soldiers surviving, hence it would be a good occasion to annex Đại Việt. The Song emperor mobilized troops and passed decrees to forbid all the provinces to trade with Đại Việt. Upon hearing the news, the Lý ruler sent Lý Thường Kiệt and Nùng Tôn Đản with more than 100,000 troops to China to carry out a pre-emptive attack against the Song Dynasty troops. In the ensuing 40-day battle near modern-day Nanning, the Đại Việt troops were victorious, capturing the generals of three Song armies.

Base on China hisotry, we killed more than 50,000 poor Chinese in the attack.
The Vietnamese army massacred more than 50,000 of the people of Yongzhou - there were more than 580 mounds of 100 bodies each. They also tore down the walls of Yongzhou, as well as Qinzhou 钦州 and Lianzhou 廉州 which had fallen earlier, and threw the earth and stone from the walls into the river. Yongzhou had been besieged for 42 days, and its grain had run out and its wells run dry. The people resorted to drinking the water used to soak hemp cloth (for softening it), and suffered from dysentery as a result. Many died piled up on each other, but not a single person betrayed Su Jian.
