The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is interested in buying "KA226" and "ANSAT" helicopters, the general manager of the Russian company "Vertuleti Rossi" (Russian helicopters), Andrei Boginsky, said on Thursday.
"Our Arab colleagues have a desire to buy the Ka-226 and ANSAT helicopters, we are doing this work, the dialogue is going on and we are looking at the various options," Boginsky told reporters.

The representatives of the United Arab Emirates have set up "specific targets" before the Holding Company to carry out updates on the hovercraft on demand. According to him, "helicopters of Russia" are willing to produce a huge series of series of mechanisms that have been adjusted according to the demands of customers.

Virtuletti Rossi, a member of the consortium of Rustic, is one of the world's leading helicopter manufacturers and the only helicopter manufacturer in Russia. The company was established in 2007 and includes five helicopter factories and two From design offices, a helicopter production and maintenance company, a helicopter repair plant, as well as another subsidiary providing after-sales services, both in Russia and abroad.

It should also be noted that ANSAAT helicopters are manufactured at the Kazan plant of Russia Helicopters. The helicopter has a load time of 3.3 tons. The helicopter is carrying nine passengers and one pilot.

Will not happen.

My dear friend,

You have your national plan, yes not for public consumption... some call you little Sparta...you know who?

Why don't just build your own i.e. local assembly then to gradual local production... same goes for fighters, ships and subs... there are many partners in both East and West... your locals are educated and trained in the best Western instituitions... why buy from Russia?

If I recall correctly you were partnering with Germany on a good jet trainer...

Anyhow, Russ is full of brovado and 'going to sell this or do that...' must have gotten the tick from indian partners....

Work in progress. Is already Happening, and more will happen InShaAllah.

My friend, you have to look at the big picture. For a mega project to go ahead, there needs to be trust on the political level. That is in limbo, at the moment.
Still, they are building that trust.. Egypt and Sudan can play a big role in that.. we have also seen testing of the T-90MS in Kuwait, The UAE signing of the MOU for the next generation light weight fighter and commitment to procure the SU-35.. all of this is showing that a momentum in rapprochement is taking place.. I am quite optimistic about it..

Lets see. Things are too fluid at the moment for me to comment.

Well, it is not like something completely new..

Military expansion (1991–2005)

The UAE went on an expansion drive in 1995, which began with the 1992–93 acquisition of 436 Leclerc Tanks and 415 BMP-3 Armoured Vehicles. It had learned from the Iranian experiences with having a single supplier for its military and has diversified its arms purchases, purchasing weaponry mainly from Russia, the United States, the UK, Ukraine, France, Italy and Germany. It has also taken care to invest in the systems it has purchased and standardise them according to NATO/GCC Specifications.
