There are currently around 30 Sharia councils - or Sharia "courts" - in the UK, using Islamic religious law to decide disputes, such as whether women should be allowed divorces. But do they discriminate against women? The Victoria Derbyshire programme debated this topic

Every religion has grown and has allowed itself to be adapted for the times. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism etc . But Islam has not, and therein lies why centuries old rules, lifestyle choices create problems in the modern civilized era. Bible has several violent versus, but as times progressed there was adaptability allowed, while Islam has not had that happen.

Religions dont evolve but get distorted over the time. Given the right kind of conditions every religiion can be misused. Chritians used their religion for holly crusade as well. In short its the devolution of people which needs to be sorted out not the religions. Islam started to get misused after westren nations started attackig muslim states mostly oil rich for their political financial gains hence gave the room to miuse of religion. Islam was considered one of the most peaceful religions until year 2000 but after 9/11 american bombed iraq on false intelligence then proceeded to afghanistan and killed hundreds and thousands to kill just one person. You need to explore the core root of problem not the religion.

The hardliner of fed on insecurities of Muslim communities as they felt unsafe in their own homes. Untill 2000 Iraq, syria, libya were prospering nations but hubris of west destroyed that tranquillity in their homes and hate manifested the religion of Islam.

Religion dont evolve but followers does either by leaving the religion or being selective in religion or by changing religion as per personal wishes and desires so yes thats why west is scared of Islam because it play practical dominant role in lives of Muslims..main concern is not Islam but how to tackle the violent or misinterpretation of islam

There is no such thing as sharia law. An islamic justice system is similar to current justice system in Pakistan and i would say it is better. According to Islamic laws even a head of state can be tried in courts and holds no immunity which is currently enjoyed by President and PM of Pakistan. The group like ISIS and Taliban base their ideologies on Wahabi or salafist ideology which is not Islamic but a cultural aspect adopted from saudi arab. Word Sharia was never used for an Islamic legal system. Ask me any aspect of Islamic law you will not find it any different than Westren laws. There has never been nor will be an formal document for any sorts of sharia law. How many muslim nations have you seen with a sharia law system? Islamic laws are not for bigots like you, its for Muslims. Let them decide whether it is convenient or inconvenient for them. If they don't see it as a problem then definitely bigots like you are inventing the 'problems' in order to create problems for those who want to follow this religion.
