The U.S. Isn’t Ready to Face China on the Battlefield, The invasion of Ukraine exacerbates critical deficiencies in America’s defense industrial base

South Korea is just one source that US is trying to get ammo, not all sources, why you only talk about 100,000 but failed to see the whole picture from OP article?
You do know OP article said the west collectively (not just US) send only around 1,000,000 rounds to Ukraine?

The United States has also supplied more than 800,000 NATO standard 155mm artillery shells to Kyiv -- three-quarters of the total amount delivered by all Western countries, according to official Pentagon statistics.

100,000 is a big majority for ONE SINGLE COUNTRY, which mean it is a ceiling of the number, if that does not represent a stress, then how the other, which most likely send less than 100,000 be a problem??

The biggest “supplier” of weapons to Ukraine is no longer the United States, it is Putin’s retreating army

SEOUL/WASHINGTON Nov 11 (Reuters) - Washington wants to buy South Korean artillery shells to send to Ukraine, a U.S. official said on Friday, even as Seoul insisted that the United States must be the ammunition's end user and that its policy against lethal aid for Ukraine is unchanged.

The U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss ongoing negotiations, confirmed that Washington wanted to send South Korean 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine.

The official said that Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) funds could be used to purchase the ammunition, but that it was unclear whether it would be shipped though U.S. territory.

South Korea's defence ministry, however, said that its position of not providing lethal aid to Ukraine is unchanged and that the negotiations are being conducted "under the premise that the U.S. is the end user."

So why was US angry and mad that Russia might've bought ammunition from North Korean? US is doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING Russia did. hypocrtical imo.

who is actually fighting that war?
According to delusional people on the Ukraine war thread - Not NATO or US.

.
We enjoy seeing them bleeding each other out, keep up fighting.

To be clear, the US has sent less than 20% of its 155mm stockpile. And what it has sent has been completely worth it as you can see today with the liberation of Kherson.
