The Type 45 destroyer hosted Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah

i can not believe you believe him.

No, not at all. But was trying to get what he based his this proposition / wish on.
1 Year on this website has taught me never to discard anything said untill you have the proof to prove it wrong.

By the way, some of our side are interested, in Type 26s development.
Do tag when you hear something on this.

well one thing you need to understand is that the uk and pakistan do have a good relationship (most of which is kept behind closed doors, regardless of what is said publicly) yes we probably did offer it to them but, can they afford it, they know too well they will get export variant kit, unless they get some agreement to ensure they dont fall in the wrong hands(Chinese) and finally support from parliament which is a no brainer as they is a huge Pakistan population here and some mp's will be wise to say yes. and why not, it's bringing money to the country.
heck we offered them eurofighters in 2005 and vixen 500's aesa's shortly after that.(they are looking at the 1000 for the jft blk3)
so yes we may have offered but will they bite? no mainly it's money than anything else. our tech is world leading but our currency is stronger than the euro and the dollar so its more expensive to make.

being sensible i think the smaller variant of the type 26 would be perfect. its intended for export as well. the french and the germans have had their time. we are coming back in the game.
or italy can offer their asw variant of the fremm frigate, they too have good relations with Pakistan.

also at over £1 billion for a single type 45, is very expensive. heck the saudis found to big to swallow!

as for zarvan i think its best to listen to the guy but then ignore it. i found that out quiet quickly.

To be honest I don't think even the lighter frigate would be considered. The last I heard about the PN's new frigate aspirations was that it'd be a homebuilt platform developed with Chinese assistance. I reckon we're looking at the CSOC High Performance Frigate (3500 tons) platform as the baseline. Where Britain could fit is in the department of subsystems, most notably the CAMM-ER. To be honest, this is the best approach. Build a cost effective hull, top it up with premium electronics and weapons.

Anyone else notice that the uniforms are EXACTLY the same?

not really, but dreaming it not illegal right? i know too well your in no position to buy weapons from us. littoral ships is somthing you guys will be looking at(f100). even that is too ambitious. i know you will go for our type 23's if not then your in deep trouble. the f22p's are to be honest not even worthy to be called frigates but large corvettes instead. and the type 21's you have are only good to be scrapped and the single perry class frigate has little in terms of weaponry. you guys need some new ships pronto. the only surface ships i like from pakistan is the azmat class fac's. but our type 23 will begine retirement in about 5 years, so does that mean you guys will contiue to have the vintage type 21?

Goodwill visit and a chance to visit an ally, which happens to have one of the best navies in the world.

.
Actually its very easy for some people to know how, they just have to not use some part of their body

I don't know How but I am 200 % sure that these BEASTS will come to Pakistan and be part of Pakistan Navy

Every seller offers his goods to every potential buyer, haven't we offered Thunders to half the world? but the transaction happens when the seller has the intentions and goods/services that he intends to sell and the buyer is willing and has the means to buy

Sir what I know is UK offered it to us when Cameroon visited Pakistan during first year of current Government

The new frigate will be known as the Type 31, let's see how attractive they make it for the market. In any case, the PN will need newer used frigates to replace the Type 21s, but it'll probably be a mix of used frigates which might include the Type 23s. In other words, the PN will likely pursue frigates from Italy and other places too. Whatever it takes to hold the fort down until a new standardized frigate platform is in the pipeline.

dont you feel embarrassed that you have to buy used instead of new? yes the type 23 is a good ship but surely your navy is weak and india knows this too. you navy wont last long if involved in a conflict with india. about a week tops excluding thr 90b's.
the italian maestrale class frigates are being retired as we speak but they are asw not general purpose. but they can be upgraded if procured to be on the watch for the scorpene sub's from india.

Pakistan has invested in a fleet of 8 SSKs, and undertaking life extension of 05 Agosta family SSKs. For coastal defence and offensive use, this is a significant investment. Our navy is weak? I disagree.

the a70's are old and in need to be scrapped. you were initailly going for 6 ssks but you went for 2 more to replace the a70's. yes the a90b's are the only subs i like. and they are the only aip subs in the indian ocean and the arabian sea.
you need surface ships. i i assume you agree with that.

In a Pakistan Vs India scenario submarines are the best offensive option PN has. There isn't much hiding space, surface vessels will suffer heavy losses no matter how advanced. So the priority on subs rather than surface vessels is good thinking. Not underestimating need for surface vessels as they are needed for patrolling and anti sub operations, but in war time PN will try to keep them as defensive assets to avoid losses.

Agosta 70s have finished their intended life, but delays in acquiring replacements from France and Germany have resulted in recent upgrades to keep them relevant. Will be replaced with Chinese AIP equipped subs on order.

The price should depreciate instead of appreciating. Assets looses value with the passage of time instead of increasing.
Only if you are talking about second hand assets, I think @kaykay assumed you were talking about purchasing brand new Type 45s.

In that case he is right, these ships would cost in excess of what they did a few years ago.

No brand new would come and would come soon
In that case you are out of your mind. The PN's CAPEX budget is <$500 million USD, these ships will cost >$1.5 billion USD today. In what world can the PN afford even one of these ships?
