Balance of Power: U.S. vs. China | Pew Research Center's Global Attitudes Project

lol japan is viewed more powerful than the EU. EU has no softpower except for brain damaged Eastern Europeans who have identity complex.

But other than that no one in world cares for the EU

The surprise in that list is that France, Germany, UK and Spain thinks that China is the leading economic power...the rest of the results just follows geopolitical alliances and/or the amount of charity given.

France, Germany, UK and Spain are not China's geopolitical allies nor are they recipients of any Chinese aids. The fact that the EU's "Big Three" is going against the US means far more than everyone else on that list.

Europeans reached the climax of prosperity and civilisation, they couldnt care less about what other think.

EU is a power of its own measure only because of three countries. Germany mainly, then France and then UK. Nothing else comes even close.

In fact, EU is basically Germany's raw industrial and manufacturing power that is spread around a very diverse supply chain of businesses and entities in other european countries.

Even France with all its development and technological power is singularly more powerful.

These countries are a source of inspiration to all other countries. To rise and develop ones' base.

Japan and Germany still remain so powerful.

Too bad Germany is unable to break free from its WW2 era shackles. It has the potential to be another power pole in this emerging multi-polar world.

USA, Germany, Japan, China, Russia, Brazil, India, South Africa, Turkey, Korea and Indonesia are some of the most promising nations in the emerging world. I would even include Vietnam in the fray considering they are rapidly emerging out of their economic weakness.

Europeans reached the climax of prosperity and civilisation, they couldnt care less about what other think.

Do you consider Turkey as a part of that prosperity or do you identify your country as a separate emerging power pole?

Personally, I think you are an emerging power pole from the Eurasian region.

Another thread for a handful of kopeyka's.

On an average working day, the Russians are to post on news articles 50 times. Each blogger is to maintain six Facebook accounts publishing at least three posts a day and discussing the news in groups at least twice a day. By the end of the first month, they are expected to have won 500 subscribers and get at least five posts on each item a day. On Twitter, the bloggers are expected to manage 10 accounts with up to 2,000 followers and tweet 50 times a day.

Documents Show How Russia’s Troll Army Hit America

All news from senheiser and vostok are to be taken with above in mind. Probably explains why Europe&Russia section is filled with senheiser's threads.

EU has no softpower

The non existant soft power forced Putin to loose his calm it and use hard power. With which, he is also loosing.

A plurality of Americans themselves also believe China is the leading economic power. It just that the populations most exposed to the "China threat" propaganda also believe, as a side effect, that China has achieved economic primacy. Note that less than half of Chinese believe that China is the leading economic power compared to the USA.

Turkey is by far not at European standarts its just a fact, but we managed a big step in the last years which is also a fact, i would say Turkey will be a quite wealthy country once the problems are solved and the economic growth continues.

Come on buddy. Many east european countries who had no economic background compared to the big 3 still managed to get EU membership. What industrial power did Bulgaria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia have when they were allowed in EU?

Certainly Turkey is far more influential and powerful. Even without any culturo-religious affiliation, you are still a larger economy with more manufacturing than these guys.

Turkey should stay outside EU and become a developed country fully; become the dream the man in your avatar wanted your nation to be. :)

Turkey would eventually have the biggest population in future if it was a member of EU so there is the answer to your question, Germany and France wont allow someone else to take the lead, thats why GB is pushing for Turkish membership.

Turkey wont be a EU member even if it reaches German level one day.

I agree, we should continue with negotiations to strenghten the democratic values and human rights but stay outside of EU, we are allready a core member of the strongest military alliance so security is no problem.

What industrial power did Slovenia have

Hello, i'm half Slovenian and living here. The whole industry portion is extremely well brought into the entire German/French/Italian car industry sector. Components, subcomponents, whole vehicles....and that even before Yugoslavia fell apart.

Due to mismanagement (managers doing a badly timed and executed takeover) a company called Cimos almost went bust in the last months. German buyer's (BMW, VW, MAN, ZF) agreed among themselves to voluntarily pay more for their products, so the company doesn't go bust.

A few months ago, a guy presented a car battery
(electric motor) that power's a family van for 700km (30% more than anyone else managed). He is bombarded by offers from Germany.

Your scepticism is very much unfounded and you're just talking about size.

All that said, it's a country ran by imbeciles.

Why dont you select your flags? I allways forget from where you are, just remember you as ''that guy from a random EE country'' :partay:

I need 3 flags. One for Slovenia for mum's side, one for Switzerland for dad's side, and an EU flag, for me! :smokin:
