We make Russian weapons under ToT for decades, and now our relationship has grown stronger and we are into joint ventures for some key military assets. We also source from other countries, mostly under ToT. And we are also developing own capabilities fast. Being a military power is not our goal, but we must remain a strong defensive force.

Not true. India has the money to import a large quantity. They may not have the depth to beat China. But India can easily push it smaller neighbors around and be the bully of the neighborhood.

Among US,China,Russia and India. The biggest enmity is between India and China. India and China will always be on different side. At the same time, US and Russia would also not be friends as well.
