Karachi is no where. Though the property is booming but some are suggesting that the Importance of Karachi might vanish the city might see a 3040% drop in population soon in coming 5 years when Gwadar will open for housing people inside.

Also, there are clear plans for making Thatta as port may be filling Land in the sea and making bridges from the Thatta coast. This will further reduce the importance of it.
