What's new

The Times of Ayub Khan!

Muslim nations, apart from few, like Malaysia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Azerbaijan, haven't got a clue what democracy even means. Yet alone, Western one. Free and Fair Elections alone do not bring democracy, as Imran puts it. You need an educated majority to implement, that is clearly lacking in Pakistan!
That's not true. This is just another way of blaming circumstances for Pakistani failure.

India has worked with democracy successfully since when over 90% of Indians were completely illiterate(let alone being educated) and dirt poor.

Since then, even today our literacy rate(not education) is over 70% and we are still continuing our democratic path.

Oh and in case you did not know - how we officially define 'literacy' is a joke in itself. If you can read or write one sentence in any language, you are literate in India.

No one is like our Quaid-e-Azam but atleast you will agree that he is better then others?
He is better only when he rules alone. It doesn't help having LOTAS from other parties around him. Tried and tested morons can never bring change in Pakistan. Sheeda Talli has been a disaster for PTI!

The quality of Indian democracy is not any better than a banana republic. OK, you have got electronic voting machines and voting procedures are relatively free and fair, but still there is endemic of corruption in business and politics! I know you are Modi fanboy, but facts are facts:
Half of Modi's new ministers face criminal cases, majority are crorepatis

I agree with you a bit because I only support IK, few others and his cause. I believe that in Pakistan an entire political party runs on Chairman policies.

There are many good people in PTI as well Like Asad Umer whom I guess IK wants to make Finance Minister in his tenure.

What? You don't like Sheeda tali? Don't you like his "Naara's? :D

Well Response brother. I just don't understand from where India is a democracy? @Judge What is the nick name of your capital city what you guys have made? :D

Our nation desperately needs pro-active policies to tackle REAL challenges like growing illiteracy, massive shortages of food, water, electricity, fuel etc. Political slogans of Sheeda Talli cannot provide above! :D

Sometimes I HAVE to post anti-India material to ensure mods I don't get banned falsely thinking I am an INDIAN :D

I disagree that Indian democracy is no better than a banana republic.

The fact that the maximum percentage of our population since our Independence came out to vote in the last elections...and elected Modi, a person whom the then Government of India was dead against...should tell you that we enjoy our rights.

I don't for a second suggest that our democracy is as clear as Western European examples of democracy, but we are heading there on our own pace.

There are many cases of Governments lodging criminal cases against other politicians...and since the Courts take decades to clear cases, they become 'tainted politicians'.

But slowly our Justice system is getting better, the number of cops per capita, judges per capita are increasing.

There can be no better stamp of approval for our country than the fact that our people are willing to trust the system..and change it from within(the system).

As far as Modi fan goes, I support performance. I voted for Congress the last two times. They performed in their first term...They did not perform in the last term, so I voted for the person most competent this time - Modi.

Look, I am not a pessimist, and I believe in IK's leadership qualities. Only problem is that he is not affirmed and confident like our great Quad-e-Azam.
no one is like qaid today and no one would ever be
he was pakistan himself his decisions were accepted by every sect and ethnic group without any hula bula had he lived and ruled pakistan for a decade more we would have been living in an entirely different country
but dreams are dreams and ours have been destroyed so many times

no one is like qaid today and no one would ever be
First thing that went wrong with the Muslim world after death of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was this naive and false belief that no other human being can ever be like him, no matter what! But if he was only a human being, then, any human could achieve the level of spirituality and humanity as him. After all, he was no son of God, right?

This is a lie. Jamatis and other rigid clerics opposed him and openly called him Kafir-e-Azam!

LOL. These linguistic, ethnic, provincial things were existing back in 1940's as well. The only thing that united Muslims of India against Hindus of India was this sense of being Muslim. Now when they got their own country, they discovered being a Muslim is not enough to define your nationality as it needs common ethnicity or roots, language, history as well. THAT's when the disintegration of Pakistan started as TWO-NATION theory was built on such over simplistic beliefs that Hindu and Muslim are distinct nations, when in reality they are just two religions! :D
