What's new

The time of political change is coming in Bangladesh

Jokes aside, just finished reading this article in bangla. Pinaky has some good points here you saw ?

Doesn't matter if AL is Indian stooge or not , we are observing the country's situation. I don't think BNP will return again .

But you see the massive protest against govt several times by students and now they are becoming mature and trying to establish a political entity named ," Gano odhikar porishod" .

They are appealing for money from public in Facebook , they are neither rich nor corrupted .

So I believe people will buy their idea . And what if some party rise and public becomes their patron ( at list partly ) , do you not think that the political line of Bangladesh is going to change in future forever ?

At least family system will no longer available in Bangladesh that will be a blessing for us.

BNP has gone already , now in near future it's time for BAL .

So could it be a new dawn for Bangladeshi politics under some new Bhasani type majlum leaders?

Remove BAL, Keep Hasina or give me a leader as dedicated, experienced and pragmatic as Hasina, the country will do well.

Politicians don't run Bangladesh, the people do, if people wanted Hasina gone, then 400,000 police could stop 160 million people from overthrowing Hasina ? Dhaka residents could simply storm gonobhabon.

You think her security will shoot civilians ? How many will they shoot ? First 20 or 30 ? Then they'll quit.

People want Hasina here, they like the development and stability she has brought to the nation, she can breathe freely because the people aren't out to get her.

As long as people want her, she will stay.

In this time it's not possible , because it's parliamentary system and Hasina won't be the leader of any party other than BAL .

What about the idea of Hasina is retiring from power ( as she said and she won't compete forever ,she is already old and want a respectable retirement) and party after this term and another one is going to take the leadership ,let's say Obaidul Quader and the chetona business keep running .

And also the young people keep fighting for restoration of democracy ?

And by this time these young leaders will be matured enough to run a country?

Actually here is a problem. Bangladeshi people don't have any specific political ideology . What you see all are just hype of party goons .

In Bangladesh majority of people really don't care who is in power or what ideology ( left or right ) is in power .

Most of people are busy earning their daily bread , ideology is actually absent in their life .

Their ideology is based on what the political leaders or media propaganda machine show them.

So actually people don't run our country ,but govt and it's state power do . Bangladeshi people were never politically conscious contrary to popular belief.

So no reason for the common folks to come to street to throw Hasina out from the power .

That doesn't mean that everyone is supporting Hasina !

People actually want their daily bread and necessary things and Khaleda Zia was proven unworthy to provide them .

Hasina is doing well , but that doesn't mean that others can't give the same facilities.

At that moment I really find no alternative to Hasina , as Khaleda Zia is just anti Bangladeshi entity .

But that necessarily doesn't mean that they want Hasina .

Common folks are heavily brain washed by ideology. You can control them by controlling their dynastic leaders ( noble savages ) .

So if you could have arranged a fair election before the kneel down of Khaleda Zia , there was a better chance that she would be prime minister again. Although result would be the destruction of Bangladesh.

So it's not wise to rely on the people of Bangladesh honestly speaking .

Majority of them don't understand democracy and the politics based on it .

They are like idol worshippers ( almost all south asians are same though , but we are the champion ) and choose their ( illiterate mass ) local leaders , just as middle class are isolated and busy only to serve their own needs . No one is actually politically conscious and no one actually care or think about politics. It's called tribal mind setting of our people .
And Hasina knows the reality I believe. And that's the reason she choose to retire after this term for the good of her career .

As long as people want her, she will stay.

Purely my opinion but Hasina should run once more, until 2028, actually I would practically vote for her, If it mattered.

She needs to see us through this decade, can't let up now, 2020 - 30 will be the most crucial decade in history of Bangladesh, in 2023 we lose our special LDC status in terms of tariffs.

Instating a new government at this time will be disastrous and waste valuable time.

Hasina until 2028, will mean Bangladesh will be firmly down this path, make it irreversible.

Consistency in decision making is key, flipping governments every 5 years ruins nations unless you're a white country where all parties are dedicated to doing their best for the country.

Obaidul is sick, I would like to bring to you attention one special character, who has his eyes on the BAL ticket :

Salman F Rahman.

Payment transfer had failed on that occasion as Tarique's card expired. Should use direct debit or PayPal.

I have the same opinion. I also want her for one more time . But grassroot BAL and BCL are trying to make it impossible.

If she contest one more time , she should heavily rely on army authority to screw BAL and BCL . But will she have this chance ?

I am not talking about a new govt . I am talking about the same BAL govt with another Prime minister after Hasina's safe exit .

Hasina is wonderful person , so Mujib was !

Mujib was drowned due to his sycophants . I don't want Hasina fall for the same sycophants surrounding her.

That's why I want her safe exit , it could be after 2023 ( but I would be happy if it's after 2028 ) , but surely I want her safe and honourable exit. She had done lots of things for Bangladesh. I don't want any dishonor for her .

Are you really trying to make BAL commit suicide ? People like Salman F Rahman are just money machine . They should never ever be the leader of a top rated political party . They simply don't deserve the position.

They were never attached to public , so how can such people hold the PM office ?

So if not Quader , then another dedicated party leader . But Salman F Rahman is never an option .

This means that the term of the American watchdog given to India has expired. America will deal directly with Bangladesh.

Make it count without becoming a vassal state against China. India has been selling itself as bulwark against China for decades infront of her western masters, look how it all endup.

Salman has been eyeing the position for a while now.

Without Hasina there is no point keeping BAL in power, Hasina is the key policymaker, rest of BAL are monkeys.

I hope Hasina in her last term unleashes hell on BCL dogs, since she doesn't need them anymore, she can be ruthless.

She wants to solidify her legacy, she will do the needful in her last term, this is my belief. When she's done using someone, you will notice, she completely destroys them, happened to Justice Sinha.

Don't be over enthusiastic. Nothing has happened yet. Anyway the opposite is going to happened as people desire , I don't think Bangladesh won't join USA block against China, mark my words .

Enthusiastic? What are you on about? Nothing to do with me or my nation. Just giving you lot a sound advise. Milk the yanks without becoming a part of their plan to "containing China", cause if you go along with yanks, China is just sitting across chickens neck, while yanks are oceans apart.

No she will wear Pakistani shalwar kamiz ( that most Bangladeshi Muslim women do ) , instead of saree.

Okay understand now thanks . Though I actually wanted to say Bangladesh isn't going to join USA . But I believe Bangladesh, Pakistan and China will made a very good triad to counter USA hegemony.

Doesn't matter if Hasina remain power or not .

Also I predict that Muslim world will no longer revolve around Saudi Arabia . But turkey will be the new power of Muslim world.

And Pakistan and Bangladesh already have great relationship with Turkey, it will be strengthen I hope .

Saudi USA axis will be forgotten for the good of humanity.

So maybe we could milk the yanks but we also have to be careful of the consequence. So perhaps it's better to stick with China as an honest ally .

Now regional politics is becoming harder , so perhaps we have to choose one side .

And if we have to choose one side , I want to choose the side of China .

Yes @idune is perfect candidate of our Jamati Awami Islami league . As we are not counting any moderate people.

Our group will be full of chetona and jamati extremists. We will make tiger and buffalo drink water from the same pot ! Surely it will tamed the two cults in some degree ! :omghaha:
