This thread is aimed to promote dialogue between the ordinary citizens belonging to India and Pakistan, who also happen to be members in this particular forum. I do however, request that the issue of Kashmir not be discussed until late in the thread's progress. It is my belief that both India and pakistan are getting played in this conflict. Granted, the progress of our conflict over the years have lead to ordinary citizens maintaining hostile attitudes to their counterparts in the other. However, nothing is set in stone and we may yet have peace.

In this thread highlight what issues you would like to see resolved and list possible solutions that are acceptable to both parties. As a general advice, i request all posters to exercise restraint and not to let your emotions get the better of you.

other than political ones, colllaboration in technology research, i respect that india has a renowned IT industry

I believe trade between the two states must be given paramount importance since, high volume of trade can potentially defuse minor tensions. We can then proceed to build cross border relations on this platform.

Common language and preferences will only help accelerate the change. However, both governments on either side are reluctant to propose any real change in their official stance/policy.
