I have a netflix account, with which I have streaming video and access to a good library of Hollywood and international cinema. There are french movies like Un Prophete, and Italian movies like Gumorah, South Korean movies like 9Iron and a lot more. Indian cinema really lags in quality, and among Indian Cinema Bollywood really lags. Lagaan or 3 Idiots are relatively good (if you only consider Indian movies).

I dont deny the fact that overseas cinema is better but at the end of the day its more about what kind of cinema actually appeals to local people. You see people want a light hearted comedy at the end of the day or they want a light romantic emotional movie when with their wife or gf so it has more to do with the local populace. Hardly any movies are made keeping international audience in mind. And definetly when it is for Indian audience hard for west to feel appeal for them for the sake it has totally diffrent values in comparison to west... like in the west arrange marrige is something alien these days along with those colorful marriges which in actual happen in India...

'Un Prophete' was good. Check out 'Old-Boy' if you haven't seen it yet. It's South Korean as well.

You're misunderstanding. The man may or may not be married. That's besides the point. The problem is that a young woman shouldn't have to sleep with a potential employer in order to secure a job.
