I have been following a couple of unofficial fanpages of the Indian Air Force, the Indian Army and the Indian Navy for some time now.
Those sites, mainly Indian Army Fans and Indian Air Force and some others, have well over 2 million followers by now.

https://www.facebook.com/IndianArmyAirForceNavy?fref=ts
This might be a great thing on the first look.....
But in recent times you could notice that the admins of those pages are getting more and more politicized and are making no efforts to hide their anti government feelings/views.
Moreover, they even started to ban anyone who does not share their same opinion in the comments section.
For example, I read this on the Indian Air Force fanpage today:
The admin was crying about another fanpage that was accused by him of "stealing" pictures from his fanpage which are not even his own property....
-Status update by one of these admins:
"Dear 'Indian Army Fans' admin, if you take (steal) the photos from our page. Atleast show courtesy."
-Then the reply from a user:
"even if the admin steals pictures from your page, it shouldnt matter to you because you arent here on facebook to get likes or promote your posts. technically it isnt stealing because you dont have a patent do you. it would do us a world of good to just try and promote the forces instead of fighting for likes comments or shares" (got over 70 likes for that)
-The arrogant and childish reply from the IAF fanpage admin:
"Don't teach us what to do. We know better then you."
-After some more critical comments from others, the admin (obviously ********) wrote:
"All abusers ll be banned. Enjoy. Bye" and "We are the admins from first day. Don't teach us."
So my point of all this is:
What the heck are the PR guys of the MoD, IA, IAF and the IN doing? How can`t they notice all this?!
This behaviour of those FB fanpages is contradicting with two major principles of this country and hurting two major pillars of our democracy and constitution:
1.) Separation of power (Here: The non involvement of the military in to politics)
2.) Freedom of speech
All this would not be a big deal..... but if a page that calls itself "Indian Air Force" promotes all this, it does not reflect the stand of the military and might hurt its reputation since most people probably dont even know that these pages are created by fanboys.
So what are your views on this?
