People need to learn the value of discipline. We should welcome and cooperate with whoever is selected as the chief of the agency. People in the agency and army will surely obey and follow whatever the leader has been selected for them but here some kids are running amuck with their favorites based on some tidbits of info which is nothing more than a fart in the vast expanse of the space. While the decision makers have much more visibility and thankfully now we have a convergence of the leadership which working together in the interest of the nation.man... anyway, I just said that bcz it sounded like a patriotic but naïve kid hunry for likes too
He is a successful youtuber of Pakistan. I don't know he's a teenager or a guy. But he is very patriotic just like the Haqeeqat Tv you-tuber.man... anyway, I just said that bcz it sounded like a patriotic but naïve kid hunry for likes too

OH Bhai i dont even know who this Lt. General Asim Munir is. I just wanted to share news with PDF members so we can debate etc. And with a source. That why i shared video also. I voted for Imran Khan and i know he will select a credible person.People need to learn the value of discipline. We should welcome and cooperate with whoever is selected as the chief of the agency. SOPs, Surveillance, Developing Asset, CI ops that is all done byt he people at Director level, they are the back bone of ISI. Head of ISI is just there to set the direction & sign on the ops.Experience and Structure are whole different thing. They both work different ways but they both work for the sake of Intelligence. As I said, he is better than a General who was once a FIU OC during his early days.
this will turn into a long discussion tbh, he kept the country together, it was his & General Pasha's great efforts that we went through tough times. We were fighting wars at multiple levels, from within the forces, & outside threats.......he had to ensure that Army as an Institution does not fail, he had to ensure that the country stays intact.....I suggest you read articles from 2004 - 2012 and that will help you understand the situation.Gen Kayani worked more as a stooge than independent. What makes you think he was fearsome?
Can't u edit title .None of it is official yet, just gossip.
Sir, may be it is better not to discuss it here. Just saying.SOPs, Surveillance, Developing Asset, CI ops that is all done byt he people at Director level, they are the back bone of ISI. Head of ISI is just there to set the direction & sign on the ops.
ISI has a wider scope, requires strategic level of thought process, one needs to look at long term goals , have holistic view of the situation. History dictates that those who did not have MI experience did better when they held the office of Director Intelligence / DG ISI, its the cultural thing. MI has some really bad habits, few to quote - Hamid Mir attempted assassination fiasco, Missing person cases. they have a habit of going in hard & heavy, which does not work well with ISI.
Brigadier Trimzi (r) the then Director CI at ISI has couple of things to say in his book if you give it a read, and they all make sense.
If you read Brigadier M.Yousuf's book - Afghanistan the bear trap he had few things to say about General Hameed Gul too.
I am not saying MI is an incompetent organization, no they have done tremendous job at gathering intel but they have a poor track record of handling sensitive matters.

And if I may suggest a book to read - Inside Al Qaeda & Taliban by Amir Shehzad.
