What's new

The military identifies militants as the new enemy

The fauj (soldier and Majors) have as much jazba as you can get...they are fully committed.

There are only 2 organizations that are not confused and fully committed, Army and Taliban, everybody else is confused.

And wearing shalwar Kameez doesn't make you a muslim, it is the biggest Pakistani misconception that I have been hearing since birth.

A soldier with jazba e jihad gladly embrace death in war to become shaheed, i dont get that vibe from pakistani soldiers especially its officers. I have a friend who is captain , always is very talkitive about finishing terrorists, but when he was stationed in waziristan he was depressed....they are just doing their duty in very professional manner...the jazba that they have usually against india, is not evident against taliban.
And they must be confused and conflicted about taliban, some of them are bad who operate against them and some of them are good who operate against ANA and ISAF, yet both behave and act similarly.

Of-corse, I did expect this kind of BS coming. Now I am not a muslim, you people have destroyed our nation and still are bent on its further destruction and you have the audacity to tell me not to over react?.

Enjoy for religious crazyness you aint scoring any brownie points with the man above, keep that in mind.

Fortunately people are starting to ignore backwards like yourself, hopefully your saints would vanish with time. I'll only say in the end, practice your faith with in its limits as told by trust able literature. Forcing people against their will is always going to provide you opposite results.

Brother you need to sit in tabligh.

Aik to duniya ka har putha kaam tumharay sath hi kyun hota hai?

The officers and soldiers all have their morale very high, they are completely battle ready and motivated.

Ab 50 main say aik captain tumhain aisa mil gaya jo nhn motivated to itni leniency to do na.

No thanks, I am good not being a lunatic :)

You dont get to be a better muslim than another by sitting in a 'tabligh' that is potentially led by a person with an aim to brainwash you. You have a brain and power of Google to educate yourself in various literatures thus increasing your knowledge about religion.

I think you need to sit in a lecture that tells you how far behind muslims are in technology and science due to their endless fanaticism.

Even though I don't agree with the rest of what he wrote nor do I agree with the advocacy of the Shalwar Kameez in that context but I'd want us to consider making the Shalwar Kameez institutionalized in the Armed Forces, the Bureaucracy & elsewhere in our society - Its elegant, its functional & its Ours ! :)

If they have high morale then its good thing, they have to keep it high because this war against taliban would last for decades.

Shalwar Kameez sucks as a battle dress...not really the most functional.

As for the SD's and other formal uniforms, how would you get the tons of medals and ranks and insignia on a shalwar kameez?

Although in the Offrs mess, Shalwar Kameez with waistcoat is encouraged and compulsory for entry.

Taliban fight very efficiently in Shalwar kameez. Patloon with underwear is restrictive and not suitable in our areas which are very hot in summer.

Tell that to the Levies, the FC & the Militants - They're arse kicking in that dress & not in the most hospitable of terrains or conducive conditions ! :)

Dude, bandaa karneii walaa baneiii tou subb kuch ho jataa haiii - What if we end up with a customized waistcoat or sherwani as part of the formal dress which would be more than suitable for any medals & the sort.

Yaraa its not just about the Military, mine was more of an all encompassing post ! I don't understand why a Shalwar Kameez is a no-go in most of our more cultured or upper-tier clubs or in our offices & other workplaces. I can't understand the logic behind the thinking that somehow a pant-shirt combination is more 'Professional' & more 'Elegant' than a Shalwar Kameez because I don't agree with that; I've seen some exceptionally elegant Shalwar Kameez & Sherwani/Waistcoat combinations & then I've seen what the average man out on the street wears - the Versatility of this dress is amazing !

Pakistan army needs to adopt a new stretagy which would win them the support of not only pakistani nation but whole muslim umma...taliban would be speechless. According to this new stretagy,
1- Compulsory beard for all soldiers , from sipahi to chief of army staff.
2- Khaki coloured shalwar kameez instead of patloon.
3- Strict 5 times praying of nimaz routine in the mosque.
4- Regular Quran and hadith bayans for faujis.
5- Principles of jihad implemented in Pak army, instead of colonial principles.

So you are saying use camouflage and then when the enemy is defeated you undo the camouflage and go home?

This was mentioned earlier after a change in The Green Book.

Is that a serious suggestion? You are clearly lost brother.

The future of Pakistan army is exoskeleton suits and drones. Not flip flops, rpg and ak47s.

The beauty of our society in comparison to theirs is we have constant innovation so we will keep improving and they are standing still since the 80s.

Exoskeleton suits? Are you playing game right now?
Wearing patloon is not improvement. Its all about mentality. If a jahil wear patloon, he is not improved at all. At the same time a genius might be wearing shalwar kameez and you would be calling him dehati ganwar.

Its not about mentality, its about what is practical.

A genius will not go onto the battlefield in Shalwar Kameez.

Socialised implementation of religious practices does no one any good, Pak-one. We had Zia try that, great how it worked out.

This idea seems for Madarsa not for army..
