Honestly, while I think Imran screwed up on the Toshakhana transactions, I don't particularly care. A little 'corruption', here and there wouldn't have destroyed Pakistan any more than other poor countries. I mean just look at Sri Lanka if you want to see a political class squandering a country's potentials!!!
Problems with Imran are of different nature: Stupidity and arrogance.

Court has punished him for non declaration
Apparently no one knew you are supposed to declare source inside money column while submitting court documents for elections

Courts have requested that it should have benn scribbles within brackets

Even the most honest people in the world have done some shenanigans that can be used to send them to jail if the court and police dig deep. This was a minor corruption and he obviously didnt think he would ever go to jail over something so minor. If he was still playing ball with the military, he would be out, even if his corruption was 1000 times more. On the other hand, since he is not, even if he hadnt taken these watches, they would have found some other minor case to send him there. This is just plain simple political vendetta
