In a teaching career spanning decades, he has taught a future president and national cricket captain - but for the past 20 years, Geoffrey Langlands has dedicated his life to education in one of the most remote parts of Pakistan.

Now in his 90s, the retired British army officer runs The Langlands school and college - with nearly 1,000 pupils, boys and girls, aged between 4 and 18. Take a tour with him.

Thank you mjnaushad that was fantastic.

I'm really glad to see that in a time of terrorism, economic crisis and national disasters that there is still hope and good in Pakistan.

I think this thread should be used to post stories like this to inspire our fellow Pakistanis in these times.

there is a lot of 'good deeds' being done by pakistanis and expats alike. but unfortunately all such deeds are not high-lighted by the local media/press and gets surpassed by the 'negativity' that is tagged to the word 'pakistan'.

thanks JK/mjnaushad for bringing this to the fore and i wld recommend that this forum's members take it upon themselves to 'post' such good deeds for the world to read and hear.

By highlighting such people might give others courage and inspiration to do such good work......But wont help the media to make good money....As such news stays only one or two days....But news on "fail state", "killing" , Bomb blast gives them a good week to do discussion and stuff which is more profitable for the new company.....
