On Thursday, Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath sources reported that the Libyan army had confronted the Al-Wefaq Brigades, while it was trying to advance towards Sirte.

Sources in the city of Al-Rajban, southwest of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, reported that successive explosions were heard near Al-Wattia military base southwest of Tripoli.

According to local sources, the explosions came simultaneously with the flight of unknown aircrafts near Al-Wattia base, bombing sites near the military base, which is one of the most important and largest Libyan air bases, with an area of about 50 square kilometers, and includes a huge heavily fortified military structure.
